Under-Bed Window Grow + First Ever Grow

First of all, this is my first ever grow attempt. My setup is different to anything I've seen out there. I am growing under my bed!

Simple Setup:
My queen sized bed is lofted 3' in the air, and is right next to a window which is 29 stories above street level and faces SE and gets A LOT of sunlight year round. I don't have any immediate traffic near the window, and I'm higher then neighboring building, so you have to really be putting in the effort to spy on me if you really want to see what I'm up to. I'm really only interested in 2-3 plants to experiment with in these conditions.

Seeds:
I bought some lemon skunk from a local seed bank. Its an indoor/outdoor strain that was recommended. I germinated all 10 seeds within 48 hours and planted all but 3.

Planter: Plastic flower pots I got from a local flower shop. They had been previously used, and I didn't bother washing them. This could be a disastre, but I doubt it.

Soil:
$4 bag of potting soil. Says it has humus in it, not much information otherwise. Looks like good dirt though.

Lighting:
Natural Sunlight mixed with a 75w Agro-Lite 120v light to use at night during the initial germination and seedling process.

I covered all 7 pots with a plastic baggy to crate a more humid environment to get started. Its been 4 days since I started germination, and 1 full day of having been planted. No signs of sprouting yet, but Ill keep updated.

Here are a few pics of what I've got going on for right now. I'm going to have to adapt as these ladies grow, but growing true indoor/outdoor plant. Thanks for reading, check back!

:peace:

Hey.

I'll sub if not for the yield, then for the fact its an under bed grow :)

Anyone else living in your place that odour might be an issue?

I'd suggest some LSTing.
Is the light is coming from the side under the bed? If so, do you plan to train the plants to grow the buds sideways throught some wire etc?

may i strongly suggest in future, the only issue that might hurt so far, cleaning! Cleaning is soooo important. Everthing should be washed. Dont be lazy! I'd wash my dirt if i could! Dont want nasty bugs near where u sleep! or mould spores which could make you ill!

Best of luck! Keep the pictures coming!

ps: the second picture made me laugh, its like the plants are being interrogated in a dark room! :D

Yes, it was a mistake not to wash and sterilize the potting containers. I'll know better next time. I also forgot to add drain holes to the pink containers, so that will be my chore tomorrow.

The window is on the side, but it gets enough light all around that it shouldn't be an issue. I will be using a mix of sunlight and artificial light to nourish these plants. Just added an extra florescent bulb to mix up the spectrum a bit.

Just wanted to do a quick update: I came home from work 6 hours after my last post where i had no life, and container #1 indeed has sprouted life! My first baby, lets hope she's a girl!

Day 6, All 7 seeds have sprouted. Here they are hanging out on the terrace in the afternoon sun after their flourecent nap of 2x120v 6500k Soft White. Here is a closeup of #1 getting her tan on only after 6 days since germination.

How are these guys doing? Is there enough sunlight getting in at them to make it worthwhile under ur bed?

How are you going to deal with controlling 12 hours of darkness if they are exposed to sunlight + artifical light?
