Uncle Ben's Technique Applied to Outdoor Auto???

Quick question regarding the Uncle Ben Technique & an Outdoor Auto…Since it takes sometimes 100-120 days to finish with the lack of 18+ hours of light, can't the Uncle Ben Tech be applied and the auto have enough time to recover?

Gonna make an experimental run with some Auto AK47's, but really want some feedback or pictures of previous attempts...

I agree, I wouldn't top an auto. The internal clock is still the same indoors or out i thought, just gonna get bigger outside.

I have heard that some Auto strains may react to the outside light cycle and can go for as long as 120days. Right now I have a few DinaFem Fruit at around 72 days and they have at least 3-5 weeks left at least.

I have some autos, and i will top all of them. Its actually kind of interesting this thread is here because i am currently running a type of the same experiment...with 4 strains. I only took a picture of the big devil autos, and its rather crappy but i didn't really want to spend a bunch a time considering i like to just read the post one that is topped and the other that is not. the other strains have reacted the same as the big devil for the most part.DSCN3046.jpg

just to throw it out there because i forgot to mention, the topped plant is give or take 2 weeks older. little farther into bud

Hey my friend thanks for the pic (as well as 2 cents)…The topped Auto looks very healthy and just as stable as the un-topped Auto. These look like indoor grow, so the fact that the topped female is 2 weeks older is not necessarily a concern or hinderance, because outdoors they take at least 20-50 days longer then most seed banks say to finish.
Right on man, thx

You aren't supposed to top autoflowers because we aren't in control of how long they grow....so if you top it, it doesn't necessarily have time to recover.
