That's weird.. but it should find it's way out. Give it a day or 2.
if it were me, i would take a razor blade and cut the head out, but others may say just leave it
as i said thats what i would do, but a grower with much more experiance then i said to leave itI would operate and free the head. Before I knew better I lost a lot of seeds by planting them too deeply, causing them squirrel around and die before finding an escape route. The cotyledon is designed to hold enough supplies to support an excursion, but not an extended expedition.

While I respect Double, I think his expertise has allowed him to bypass this particular problem. If Cigarz waits a couple of days it might be harder to dig it out. But if he wants to risk it then I'll watch the experiment.as i said thats what i would do, but a grower with much more experiance then i said to leave it
I've never used soil, so you're probably right. He's using rockwool. That's what I've always used until recently switching to Rapid Rooters.I've planted seeds deeply with no problem, but it was in soil.
Peat moss or whatever this is, has visibly more resistance to it but I have no experience with it so idk
Oh, I'll be watching this one too... never really seen it before. Got a feeling it will find it's way, but yes, I agree. If not, id gently operate.... and yes, Im a fan of RR as well. While I respect Double, I think his expertise has allowed him to bypass this particular problem. now ive had nothing but trouble with the rapid rooters, the seeds mostly get stuck in them, there must be a secret to useing them. ill stick to my potting soil, no problems at allI've never used soil, so you're probably right. OP.. post a pic tomorrow about 9pm.
Clearing things up.. Im a fan of RR for clones, not seeds. I use the paper towel method, and have had 99% success rate with hundreds of seeds. Soak them in water for about 16-18 hours till they sink (poke at them if you have too), and then put them in a dark warm place... you'll have tap roots in 18 hours.now ive had nothing but trouble with the rapid rooters, the seeds mostly get stuck in them, there must be a secret to useing them. ill stick to my potting soil, no problems at all
