UGH! It's always something.....

About 3 weeks ago, I started using liquide Kool Bloom in my bubbleponics. I'm now about 1.5 weeks from harvest, so I started adding a little bit of molasses first when I changed the water, then I added another teaspoon when I filled between feedings. I noticed some sludge after I added the molasses, freaked out and changed the water again. Got everything going right again, so I thought I'd add some molasses and see what happened...this is whats happening now...The top leaves were starting to turn yellow & spotted, so I figured the light (150 w. hps + 3 2700k cfls) was too close. I moved it up a few days ago, and no change. Is this normal? I'm sorry, but this is my first grow, and I'm getting lost at this point. I dopnt know if the leaves are supposed to die off like this, the bottoms are nice and moist, just alot of brown on the top leaves, and they're dryin up and funky!

If its comming close to harvest then depending on the strain the fan leaves die and fall off.
Yours doesnt look nearly done at all.

So before I went to bed last night, I checked the ph, and it was right at 6 temps are good, 72-80, and humidity stays right at 40%. I'm just using plain ph'd distilled water now. I get up this morning, temps ok, humidity fine, ph fine, but more leaves are curled up & crispy. The hps is about 10" away. It this correct? Is there something I'm not doing right? I haven't actually pulled any leaves off, but when I touch them, some of them fall right off in my hand..Hope I don't sound too stupid asking, I just dont quite get it yet...

u cant use molasses in hydro u need to change your water out
it willl make a big mess and u will get root rot
the mollasse will not break down in cool water

No, I didn't say anyone told me to use it or not use it. I read it was good, so I tried it. It made sludge, but I thought maybe it was a chemical reaction using molasses & KB together. So I want to know now, since I sprayed the roots, changed all the water and am currently flushing, is this why the leaves are crispy and dead falling off in my hand? Or did I screw up and now the plant is dying because of what I did, or is this the natural proggression? The picture in my first post shows the leaves 2 days ago.

When I saw the plant it looked like the pH was off.

Then you said the pH in your DWC is 6.

So... Pretty much solved it yourself without knowing it. Hydro pH is about 5.5.
