I pulled the 2 remaining females out to water them. I brought them into the kitchen, then went back to the grow to clean it a little like i always do at watering time. When i went back in the kitchen, it smelled like a skunk. Of the 2 plants, one is more indica, and one is more sativa. The sativa is the skunky one, and it is growing a lot of trichomes now too.

The plants arent liking the FF Tiger Bloom. I dont have a digital PH meter, but the PH papers matched the 7.0 color. (for the nutrient/water solution) I think I am too anxious with the nutrients. (common beginner mistake) The soil has plenty to start off with. (FF Ocean Forest)
Lesson learned.

I finally got the airflow situation to my liking. I got a 171 CFM 4" impeller style blower, mounted with a 4" Carbon filter. It came just in time, too. Everytime i open the tent door, the whole room starts to smell like a skunk's asshole. (going to have to add more odor control) I also added my used 4" inline 80 CFM fan as an intake blowing right at the base of the plants. The temps stayed at 72.5 and RH was 40%.

Shitty news, my timer is set by pushing or pulling buttons, each button responsible for a 15 minute period. During installing the intake, i must have pushed one of the buttons. I noticed the lights on about 2 hours after they were supposed to shut off! FUCK! I fixed the timer, and i think it was only a couple minutes.

I also used molasses about 2 days ago, can't wait to see if it helps flowers grow.

So my questions: Additional odor control, should i use ONA gel, one of those things that sprays regularly and hangs on the wall, or something else?
Is there anything i can do to help my over lighted plants?

The plants just seemed to hit the phase where they stop growing new leaves, and stop growing taller, and now they are just growing fatter denser larger calyx clusters. And the trichomes on the sativa are looking really good. I think the plants liked the molasses i gave them last week.

They really dont seem to be growing too fast, but i hear that is expected. Its been 6 weeks and they dont look anywhere near harvest. They are also starting to grow a mold/fungus. Its on the leaves, so far i haven't seen any on the calyxes. The RH is staying pretty low. (30-40%) I flushed the soil today.

Hey thanks to everyone who has posted. Anyone with opinions, or anything i could be doing better, feel free to post.

I think i have a phosphorus def, any ideas? can i add guano to the water, or should i have added it to the soil mix originally?

Awesome link! Thanks, thats the info i needed.

After reading several threads, I have come to the conclusion that what i previously thought of as a PH problem, was a combination of a phos def, and heat stress. I moved the oscillating fan higher, and turned it from low to medium, and it helped. I still need to add phosphorus at some point, and im not sure if i should buy some guano or use the FF Tiger Bloom i already have. Probably just use what i have, but eventually i'd like to try some guano. The ultimate goal is to be able to grow with no chemicals.

Nice job with the ufo & cfls!!! I wannarecommend Blue mountain organics liquid fert lineup. Many riu members swear by it, myself being one. Good for indoor & outdoor, they got an ebay store. Best of all 100% organic!
Good luck on your grow, keep the updates coming.

Lots of respect to you. I'm also using an LED setup for the first time after seeing some grow results (watched an LED proponent get torn apart in another thread then get her thread shut down when she tore back, it was ugly). So far so good. I'm lazy on the pictures.

We have used Botanicare's line of products in the past, but these days we are seeing much better results with the Advanced Nutrients products and are transitioning over to them. I see you are already on to the Fox Farm. I'm also a fan of mycorrhizal amendments.

I may have missed this in previous posts: what is the humidity and temp in the grow space? How far is the light from the plants? It looks like you have space limits, do you know about topping, FIM, lollypopping?

keep up the good work:joint:

The temps stay between 72-79 usually, a little high at the high end, but not too high. Humidity stays between 30% and 40%, which is good. I have a small dehumidifier. The light is about 6 inches from the tops of the plants, which may be too close. Yes i do have space limits! I didnt want to top for my first grow; i wanted to show myself the natural course of the plant. I did tie the plants tops down during veg, but regret it now; the tops are in the corner away from the light and good ventilation. I also have stripped off a lot of the lower leaves several times
Thanks for watching.

I finally added a UVB bulb. Been wanting to for a while now. Some people say its not necessary because UVB wont push THC production past its genetic potential. But what if my herb never reaches its full genetic potential because my indoor lights fail to provide the UV light the sun does? So i'll give it a shot, its only 26W.

The pistils are starting to turn red and the buds are bulking up. I think i have entered the end game. I think it will be harvest time within 3 weeks, but we'll see. I will need to buy a scope for checking on the trichomes.

they dont look too terrible for the lighting setup you have, if i were you i would just ditch the array of odd lighting types you have going on and grab a 250w hps.. thats not too terrible power consumption wise and probably not much more than you are using now.

LEDs just dont seem to be there quite yet

Yea, thats the plan. I think the UFO will be great for vegging, and an HPS for flower. I will need to run a cool tube (or some other air cooled reflector) in that little tent for sure, my temps like to go high. Im on a budget so i've been getting equipment a little at a time. So i'll finish out this bagseed experiment with the LEDs and may not grow again for awhile, but if i do, i can use what knowledge i gained through this experiment to help.

One of the 2 females has mostly red pistils and appears to look very close to done. The red hairs are retreating into the calyxes, but, they are not dense enough. I will need to pick up a scope for the trichomes this week. The other plant still has mainly long white pistils, however the buds are dense. The one that displayed the most sativa-like qualities is the one that seems be finishing first.
I clipped a bud and dried it just to see. So, for the first time in my life, i am RIPPED off some shit that i grew myself. Within a few weeks ill have more. I took the bud from the sativa-like plant, and it has the classic sativa-like high. Im really really up in the clouds off this shit! I just hope i have the patience to let it finish, because its obviously not done, despite my incredible high. I gave the slower finishing one some tiger bloom, and the other one just some big bloom. (Molasses to both) and that will probably be it for these plants. Ill flush in a week or 2, and hopefully harvest within 3 weeks.
I can't wait.
