day16 'day will be at first of each post'

Hey all! This is my first grow here after numerous research I have decided to see what I can do with this magnificent plant

I'm sticking to the organics for the whole run, I hope!

General Info
my soil is
20% perlite
20% buffaloam compost
60% pro-mix organic

18/6 cycle veg
both plants - 2x6500k(23w) 2-3inchs away
1st plant - 2x6500k (23w) 2-3inch away
2nd plant - 2x6500k (23w) 2-3inch away
shared by one 2700k (42w) 4-5inches away

temps, 73f night - 80f day
humidity, 38%

Right now the 1st plant is 16 days in while the second plant is a day behind

I started the seedlings in smaller cups at first once they grew up about a week in I transplanted them to the above soil (from outside dirt soil) from lowest node
1st plant is about 1.8inches tall from soil
2nd plant is about 1.5inches tall from soil

Just started adding 1/4 strength nutes of 1:1:1 buffaloam tea as of 7/5
I water about every 3-4 days depending on the soil dryness

Any tips or tricks, questions, will be helpful in succeeding my grow, thanks all :)

This is my current setup (CDS+Puzzles included!), I got Y splitter for the other plant. The light on the right side is the 2700k 42w, I figured a little bit of light from that wouldn't hurt.

Also should I be concerned so much about the temperature? I figure sticking around 80f is good at lighttime. I have an oscillating fan where the camera took the photo in that spot as well, to take the heat off. Lastly, when it comes to flowering stage, should I switch out for an HPS light? I have read that is what people tend to do, veg in CFL, hps for flower, or do both HPS Light + CFLs? I figured as much light as possible does not hurt.

thanks guys! I added two lights on the back side 2x6500k 23watts for some additional lights and changed the setup a little bit for easier expansion for vegging!

Wondering if I should keep the big 42w light on or off (2700k) it doesn't seem to be hitting the plants so well, unless someone thinks otherwise, I'll flip it back on thanks!

I also did some minor LST on plant 1, the nodes are very close together its bushy, so can't do much at the moment I think, I just placed a sardine key around below the top node and into the ground a little bit

I raised the soil level of the pots, although I put plant 1 into shock.. it is coming back great over night, plant 2 took it well.. I wanted more light to the lower part before I actually transplanted them into 3 gallon pots

The plants are a bit bushy, should I back off on the lights to encourage stem elongation? Or is bushy fine and dandy? Plant 1 has six nodes already, working on the 7th, and it is very packed on the stem

Plant 1 recovering just goood, new growth on top coming in

More pictures, I like takin pictures

Bit bushy, should I back off on the lights a bit to extend the stem? Is it a good idea? Thanks!

I also have a 150w HPS coming, thought it would be about right for personal, I was going to go with the 250w HPS, but I guess I didn't want to spend so much more on shipping/heat gain, then I would have to buy even more stuff to ventilate, hah! Hope I made the right choice

dude definitely looking good what type of bulbs are you using and where a good place to get them i have one plant around 20 days and no where close in size im pretty sure strains vary but probably not by as much as our twoPhoto on 2012-07-10 at 22.16.jpg. i lost a few leaves i previously used MG not now i use harvest organic potting mix works somewhat better and so far no defects on my newbies

I am using 23w (100w equiv) ecobulb daylight (6500k) @ 1600 lumens per, any hardware store! Just max out the lumens you can find, I have 2 per plant, and 2 in the back with a reflector. I might had another one batch of CFLs on the front side after I receive my 150w HPS. I am also sticking to organic grow, I don't like messing with chemicals too much, I like it all natural. I hear MG is either crazy to start with or good, I always hear mix reviews on it because of the time-release feeding. On my organic, I started feeding it 1:1:1 npk buffaloam tea @1/4 str. and noticed slightest nute burn on the tips (like a mm or so barely!), so I am going to back off on it for another 2-3 weeks, this soil must have a lot in it already, I've waited 2 weeks to add nutes and I guess it was too early. This is my first grow so its a huge learning experience for me ! I'd say get your lights closer to your plants since your stem is stretching for the light, also when you transplant, transplant up to the 1st node so you have more room to work with, I did it with my two plants.

The strain I have must be bushy! My first plant has around 6 nodes, hard to tell trying to get in there and count :P

Day 47 Veggin'

Been awhile since I've updated just been waiting! I transplanted plant 2 recently a week ago into its new pot to see how it goes, and it has been growing beastly, I have kept plant 1 in the mean time in the smaller pot to see how it fairs, it is still growing but I am going to need to transplant that either tomorrow or the next day, it isn't exactly root bound at all yet, I just think it needs more room now.

Other awesome news, plant 2 has shown its first pistils, so sexy! :leaf: in veg stage. That leaves the questions of, When would you or/ what would be an appropriate veg time to switch on over to the flowering stage? I know answers can vary, just want some input thanks! I really want to veg as long as possible for some profound colas, its growing pretty beastly, and I have tons of room left

I have been adding 1;1:1 every other feeding, adding a bit more each time and haven't shown much problems on the plants at all, just green and green ! Few yellowing on tips on some of the lower fan leaves, but I think that is just because they are a little older, all new growth is yellow/green coming in then green.

I have also added barneys farm LSD seed, into a potted soil, germinated in the soil 3 days, sprouted into a seedling, it looks a bit off anyone know what is wrong with it? Thanks! Hope it picks up

PICTURES Of all! Remember, plant names in the filename to remember :) thickcute = p2, snuck that in there that is the result of topping a few weeks back
