So TELL US. Don't make the mistake of a dozen generations and refuse to share what you saw or did out of some misplaced sense of decorum; TELL IT LIKE IT IS.

It's the only way to help prevent more of them. Only when people know just how horrible war is will they hold their representatives accountable for starting them. Especially for stupid reasons like profits.
A lot of it is related to what the eventual overload of stress & fear does to your nervous system & psyche. Rape was no where near the worst of the atrocities you see on a daily basis. Combat will change you, weather you know it or not...It's not something I recommend
P.S. I'm in therapy....

It's a priorities thing; when you're taking fire, the world gets real small and what people are doing to one another disappears from your attention very quickly. Survival means getting a thick skin.

I'm not condoning anything; war itself is the worst thing humans can do to one another.

What REALLY makes me sick to my stomach are all the young chicken hawks in Congress calling for more and more and more wars... knowing they won't suffer any repercussions.
I understand what's been said - I've no direct contact with actual battle but know strife. Was deeply involved in the Cuban boat lift on a very personal level and have a few more life experiences I'd rather not have had. A survivor I am, but still cannot minimize insult to innocents.

I will say one thing. when they talk about the "1000 yard stare" combat veterans get after combat, it is their attempt to process what they have just seen & gone thru. And eventually you spend so much time in that state, replaying events over & over in the back of your mind, that it takes something of equal magnitude happening to even register....if that makes any sense..

Disgusting...We wouldn't have a single troop in that whole region if I was elected.
The saddest thing about that statement is that it disqualifies you from the job. After all- those with power and money got it by building weapons and having them used. You just wouldn't fit well in their profit picture. :spew:

I dunno how those morally bankrupt turds sleep at nite.
They sleep well, knowing they've bought everyone who is a threat to them.

Except us, that is. We the People are fed up with the scam and we're going to take our country back. There will be violence, mostly on the part of the state. We need to rise above it and hold those who would use force against Americans accountable for their crimes.
