ok so slammed was a little over rated. but they have made their presence known. this morning after watching these pesty little things run around, i came across a formula for taking care of them without risking the plant or crop. its 1tbsp. clove, 1 tbsp. cinnamon, 2 tbsp. italian seasoning, fresh garlic and a qt. of water. I sprayed it allll over the plant. is this a real formula nad also what else can i do to hold off the spread till harvest. she is about 3 and a half feet tall 3 feet wide.... its my first grow. 400watt. but have done everything i can to this. the house is set between 62-72 degrees, i grow indoors soil, and organic only. i live in a high altitude area. so humidity isnt the issue. any other info you need please let me know.

I actually got an email from a friend this morning who said, and I quote "Mighty Wash rocks, biggest pest control breakthrough in years." and he was speaking about spider mites specifically. I have been doing research on it all day.

wow! I deleted a huge paragraph by accident. Ok so the spray did and didnt work.. it slowed them down. I hand wiped every leaf yesterday morning. I then chose whether 700+ ladybugs being released into the house was worth it compared to losing my mother plant. Problem with ladybugs is a mixed review.Over half will die in the light or ground... keep that in mind. Last week i would have told you its a waste. You cant release 20 and expect it to work as i did. After the spray, wiping, and ladybugs they are nearly gone. Someone suggested neem oil. However, it takes around 2 weeks to start. She will be harvested in around another week. At this point in the plants life it is imperative to watch what chemicals you add. yes you might kill the little buggers but also kill your crop because there was not enough research put into it. In the end... dont freak out. you have a huge message board to help. Also i started 12 new plants. 2 "unicorn" seeds, 4 chernobyl, 3 blueberry and 3 maui wowie. All will be grown under strict 12/12. Is this smart? prolly not. But i read different strains can handle different stress levels. Once again all indoor, soil, organic only and 400 watt. please check in for their pics!
