Two plants - One Pot?

2 plants in a 5 gallon pot, yay or nay?

I'm in a weird situation where I have too many females and something has to be done. I will either give the extras away or kill them. Or I can put two plants per pot. But will it hurt the final yield with two pots competing for that soil and light?

2 plants 2 pots. The roots end up entangling with each other and the 2 plants will fight each other for nutrients.

I had 6 extra females & had the same decision to make.

Having 2 females in one pot hasnt hurt me at all at 46 days into 12/12 with the girls being roughly 24 inches high, take plastic & seperate half your pot with one plant on one side & one plant on the other, once they get strong enough to tie off tie them off pulling each plant away from each other twords the outer edge of the pot,im sure the roots are getting through the plastic at the bottom of the pot & at the edges where the plastic meets the pot but the bulk of the root mass is seperated.

I can compare all 6 dual plant 3 gallon pots with the rest of the single plants in 3 gallon pots & there is no noticable difference in bud structure, size, production ect.

Im going to do a very quick weight comparison at the end of harvest to see for sure if it affected yeild but from just looking at them it sure dont look like its hurting a damm thing.

hey to each their own...
Im puzzled by this statement, please explain why throwing away perfectly good females is a better idea over seperating them with plastic in the same pot, especially since its working very well.
