Two plants from one seed?

Hi all at RIU,
Anyone ever germinate 1 seed and have 2 plants grow from the single seed??
unknown bag seed....
Seems Cool to me!

never herd of anything like that, sound crazy maybe they will be extra dank since its unheard of very rare idk..

i have heard of it! usually one takes over and the weakling dies

I had two roots pop out from one seed about a month ago. I just figured it couldn't be good and threw it away before I had a chance to see if it would have been two separate plants.

i've had both live a couple times, but you need to separate em. good luck.

1 plant is standing 2" tall with the 2nd at 1/2" and opening below it.
1 half of the seed case is laying on top of rock wool.
I will let it go and see if one overtakes the other which is my current guess.

@ Brimck325, any suggestions on separating the seedlings if they start from 1 hole in rock wool ?

i never used rock wool, i would imagine it's easier in my pro-mix. i usually give em a day or 2 to get goin then separate as gentle as possible.

I have most of my seedlings getting a nice light breeze to keep them fighting to stand straight.
95 watt CFL over tray
water daily w 1/4 nutes and 1/4 dose Olivia's rooting solution in PH'd water at 6.5-6.6 the plants love the mix.
I add the Olivia's along with the two nutes following the Fox Farm nutrient guide.

As for the Twins I Decided to leave them together and let them grow up 1 central Stick for support.
natural selection will probably kill one....

I just started showing the 2nd pointed pair of leaves on 5 of 7 seedlings.
6 more just cracked and placed in rock wool under 2 smaller domes made from 1/2 of a two liter container.
I use the bottom piece and drill a few holes on top for warm Air to rise. 3- 1" cubes fit snugly in a two liter dome.

germinated on the 8th

you should twist the stems in a spiral as it grows

Twining is more common than most growers know , it is a unique thing to see and even better when 4 out of 5 beans are twins . This happened to me with some Jacks Cleaner offspring . I do always cull the weakest when I see twins .
