Two (out of four) Samsung boards not lighting up but getting warm?

Hi, I bought one of those knockoff versions of the HLG550 that you wire together yourself (meijiu FoMex V2 480H without dimmer). The two boards that are directly wired to the driver work fine, but the two boards that are connected to the boards alone won't light up but do get warm after being left on. I cut the heatsink so that all boards are separated by about 15cm, that's how I can tell the two dark boards are getting warm by themselves.

Has anybody experienced this before and managed to resolve it? I'm sure I have the wiring polarity and everything correct, does this just indicate that the other two boards are damaged (package did get pretty beat up in transit I noticed when it arrived)? Thanks for any help you can give, this is my first time with boards and I'm half way through my grow so really hoping I can fix this without waiting for replacement.

They may be just getting warm from the heatsink.... Double check all connections, those poke ins are suspect at best.....

Sorry I forgot to say, the heatsink is cut into quarters with about 15cm space between each, so none of the boards or heatsinks are touching other than by the wire, yet they are getting very warm. So that means the wires are all connected okay right? Or would a loose connection mean that some power went to the board, enough to warm it but not enough to light it? I have checked them and they seem okay but the poke in connectors do seem pretty questionable.
