If you are growing two cycles (aka at week 4 flower you begin a new cycle in the second tray, giving you two harvests every 60 days) then you will not want to share reservoirs. The nutrient requirements at various weeks of the plants life are different, and impossible to manage with a shared reservior.
If your growing everything all at once in two trays, sharing one res can work, just set two pumps on two different timers to water them separately and send one pump to one tray, the other to the other tray. You will need to fill it twice as often, of course, so watch your water level and keep it topped off.....
