interesting that no one asks about the strain used..
looks like its related to the "big bud" strain. a very very heavy yielder (though lacking in potency unless crossed with something good, usually losing some of the yield, but kicking any average strains ass into their mouths)
a hashy indica type bud too..
an example of yield difference, papaya, rather popular strain, very average (considering what is one the market) buds in size, though small plants.
the bigbud variety i had, smaller plant (vegged short) had 3-4 times bigger buds than the papaya and the other 2 strains i was running at the same time.
and then its differences within one strain, i have four sisters going now, identical parents and all, all plants look the same, except one is a runt and the fourth is a giant, much much bigger buds, clawed leafs (every time, no matter what i do) and more harsher smoke (very resiny though and quick finisher)
so its kinda funny looking to the lights especially.. (especially since he´s using low wattage lamps which kinda illustrates the point of how light is overrated to quite some extent)
the hydro equipment would amp it up a bit too, but not that much and you need to get it down pat with all the right nutes and stuff (And the gain isnt that much, not compared to a properly done soil grow)
but the number one thing, that matters, what ive seen grow after grow, is strain.
(that is IF you have mastered the basics of keeping a plant happy, cause improper gardening can seriously fuck up both potency and yield, making a highly potent high yielder give you a gram of oregano.but once you learn how to keep a plant happy, thats it, there´s a wall with every plant, you can push it bit, but not that much.if you want to greatly increase your yield, look to other strains, or grow more plants (if you love that smoke))
