Two 1,000W Adjustable Hps in 5x5 Tent with Auto flower

Turned light up to 1,000 watts and put the exuast at the top and the temperature flew up to 102 within an hour. I adjusted the inlet and brought the exaust hose back down to the hood and the temperature is settled at mid 80's

Temp is 70 at night and 84 durring the day. Humidity is lowest 25-42%highest. Cool tube should be here monday/tuesday. Ideally i want to be 68 at night and high 70's or very low 80 durring the day. As long as i dont hit 90's or low 60's the girls should be heading towards beast mode.

Exaust is always on, inlet is only on when light is on. Im going to swap out the hps for the mh bulb for a while. After the cool tube's, i will have both hoods going with both spectrums. Thinking about those hps/mh combo bulbs, they sound awesome and it would make it 1200 watts hps & 800 watts of mh that should make heathly buds. No nutes yet only a drop or two of super thrive every 3rd gallon....... baby steps.

BLUE BLUE BLUE That mh bulb is so blue. Come on lady's pop up!! Still only the 1 automatic sprout, my seed order has passed customs so monday i should be germinating a wide selection of auto's. The Big D #2 is 9 weeks from sprout the original Big D is 6 weeks the rest finish at 8 weeks from sprout except the haze it takes 10 to 12 weeks from sprout.

A second Big D#2 Sprouted up today. I feel i drowned the other 4 seeds by leaving them to long during germ. in water. The next batch, i wont make that eror again!

lol As soon as i got the temp. down i swapped in the mh and it's been hotter. Need that cool tube to arrive!!

Got the cool tube today and when i hooked it up and plugged the ballast back into the mh light flashed and now the ballast wont turn on.......any suggestions or thoughts? This F#cks me so much!!

did u seriously run straight ocean forest on seeds? and 1000 watt with the plants that small is major over kill, y dont u turn it down to 50% and let them b in peace, itll lower the temps a lot also

Yeah, why not? It has no nutes, its all organic and natrual and is ph'd at 6.2-6.5.............. So the seeds are in the rapid rooter composit inside the soil, there might be some jiffy seedling starter soil also mixed into the air pots. Compared to the other settings they seem to vast in the 1,000w and it doesnt screw up the tv's as bad.

The cord to the other ballast got unplugged and mh bulb never turned back on so i put the hps back in.( I had 2 hps and 2 mh bulb) So i think turning off then turning back on it burnt out. The 2nd mh bulb, the one i put into the cool tube, looks broken so we wonder if the bad bulb could have blew the ballast and it wasnt the cool tube...... Not really sure what to do.

So even though it was a rude way of letting me know, i searched and went ahead and did 1-3 ffof - jiffy seedling soil mix

Well, i took a look at the cool tube and it looks like when they screwed the back plate on the white wire must have gotten stuck and the screw punctured through to the cooper. That must have caused a fault but not sure enough to risk my last ballast, i paid good money but think maybe got a "cheap" ballast. I can not figure out how to reset it

Ok, did a little jerry rigging and i am using the cool tube and a different socket with 1 of 2 hps bulbs. The temp already dropped alot and i swear the suction increased through the tube. Anyways peace at last!! Using lots of light on my only 2 girls that sprouted, monday the other seeds come......lots of auto and some photoperiod seeds.

on your ballast there should be a fuse. if it got shorted out and didn't have resistance from the bulb. it should have just blown the fuse. replace it and your be fine.

Thanks man!! I'll check it out....

you can check it real easy just pull it out and hold it up to a light if the wires broke replace it. if its still in one piece you have problems. I willing to bet you already knew that and its broke.

For sure, im no stranger to car fuses but honestly have no clue about ballast's and im not sure what it actually looks like or where it's at. Is it normal to have black shrink wrap on everything except for 4 coil's....... i can take a pic in the morning
