So far so good! In a refrigerator, well, why not? It's well insulated! Not much CO2 unless you leave the door open.

Yes, I think that a refrigerator is better suited for a box. Because it is like a thermos, you can maintain a temperature inside that is independent of the room temperature, i.e. it is much easier to cool or insulate the interior. Also, ventilation works more correctly when everything is sealed.
