if you are in the 6.5 to 6.8 range you are golden... if you are above that a tiny bit of vinegar or citric acid will bring it down... I am not sure about bringing it up organically... maybe baking soda?

another question. my original plan was to do 4 of the same plant. do you think i should do 4 different ones with the same grow time online?

autos won't always finish the same time no matter what the breeder says. I say grow whatever you want. I am growing 3 separate strains now... I like this idea. I can try several different strains and if i find one or 2 i really like i can grow more later. but you can also grow 4 of the same. if you have good genetics, there is a better chance of them finishing close to each other. I grew autos outdoors last year. I had 2 finish around week 10, another one finished about 3-4 weeks later. and another was on week 15 when the weather got crappy and it never really got to finish.

my next grow i am hoping will be in my 4x4 instead of the 2x4. I want to try making my own fem seeds. I think I am going to grow 3 Humbolt Lost Coast Skunk, an Exotic seeds Black Lemon, a Seedsman Norther Lights, and maybe a Fastbuds Fastberry or Mephisto Super Orange Haze. I also have a Growers Choice ROI-e680 light that I am really excited to try out!

it has been hard lately on here to get participation from people. Not sure why but there just aren't many people talking. You would think being inside all winter would make people a little more active on here but that hasn't been the case. Last year at this time i was getting a lot of people talking to me. Now it is like pulling teeth. People are more than willing to bitch and complain... or argue with someone on here but finding someone to help you out is a little harder right now.

To help eliminate transplant shock and allow oneself the ease of watering a smaller pot, have been using #2 smart pots to germinate seeds then stick the entire pot inside of a bigger pot(#5 or #7). Let the seedling grow in the small pot until roots are penetrating the bottom and sides, then add it to the larger pot. Have seen zero stress with this method.

Just an idea. Works for me.

The pots can be cleaned out, hosed out, washed, then reused. Not sure how many times they can be reused yet but have used some 3 times without issue so far.
