Trying to get back to the outdoors

After successfully growing indoors for many years.I have finally found a place to grow undetected outdoors. After carefully researching methods and problems, I have come to the conclusion that this may not work for me. The reason being that I reside in Manitoba. i have notuced that this web presence is located in Canada as well and would like some guidance basically in one regard. i do not think I will have a lot of problems with the vegetative part of the grow that I would not be able to deal with. So Let's say I have a small grow of say 20 plants all nice and bushy.
Problem being:
The first instance of 12/12 doesn't occur in my area till 26th September

Being Canadian we know that October is sketchy at best and it may well be snowing by sometimes in October. This gives me very little or no flowering time. Would be a shame to waste the summer and have to smoke leaves after a lot of work.
Auto flowering would , from what I have seen, not supply me with enough to make it worthwhile. That coupled with the fact that AF plants are generally not cloneable So would have to let a majority go to seed, providing that there are males to produce with. I was wondering if anyone here has ever had a successful outdoor experience in this part of the country and more importantly HOW??
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated
BTW First post so Hi to all

Thank you for your quick response I just checked out this link and from what i can see it is $200 CND for 2 seeds
IMO, if I am correct, this is totally ridiculous given the fact that 1 or both might not even sprout .. Looks like a good option but perhaps for someone like Bill Gates
Other options would also be appreciated

You are not correct buddy, they cost 150$ for a pack of seeds (Which contains 10 seeds).

There are plenty of early finishing mostly indica strains that would do just fine in your climate.
Go to attitude seeds website and look for strains that finish mid september.

I've only ordered with dr.chronic and the attitude. I'm sure nirvana has a lot of the same breeders.
I'm doing delicious northern lights blue this year. I started them way late last year and they still finished before october.

Thanks all for your replies Seems that not all is lost .. Will try recommendations Prolly will need further assistance but will peruse the rest of the forum to try and figure WTF I'm doing .. If anyone can recommend a thread pertaining to my climate , soil conditions etc. Will appreciate the links .. Wanted to use pots, easiest way of using nutes without having to spend a lot as this is an experiment of sorts and would like to try on a shoestring budget so initial investment would be sparse at best, realizing that I will NOT get optimum yield first time around
