Trying to figure fan size

Ok I have beenreading forums for a couple hours now

Im trying to figure out what size fan and carbon fikter I will need for new tent measures
4ft w/2ft d/ 5.5ft t
Light will be 400w hps /cooltube

I have a 6" inline fan on my grow which has a 400w hps its a fairly powerful fan but I have a speed controller for her. Bought it on ebay its just a plug socket with a dimmer switch it is very handy you can control the air flow but if things get very hot in there quickly i can drop the temps in the grow room by 4 degrees C, in the space of 5mins. It has saved my ass a couple of times I think i paid like €20 including delivery for it.

I also have about the same size of flowering cabinet as you and have a 6 inch inline. I saw them the other day at Home Depot for like $31.00.

Ok thank you both I was going to get the 6in cause the cooltube is a 6in duct opening but if icould get away with smaller then I eas going to due to money situation but illalso look into the controler cuz I dnt think ill need that much power

I think that we have pretty much the same setup Pedro

Depending on your overall space, and plan ... I have taken my silver duct material and collared it to my Cool 6 Reflector. Then I have cut out a 6 inch hole out of my flowering side of the cabinet, into the storage area of my cabinet (Overall it is 5 feet wide X 4 feet deep X 6 feet in height). From there I will hook up my 6 inch fan and then get a reducer (from 6 inch to 4 inch)that will go into the Carbon Filter. Because of the twists and turns, I think that I will be okay without the fan controller, but will pick one up if need be.

Well the tent im gettin will b 4ft long2.5ftt deep 5.5ft tall
