Trying My Hand At Glass Pipe Making

For you I can make anything! <G>

So I have everything I need except for butane, I went yesterday and they were out of vector (I'm pretty set on using vector or colibri) they do hve king butane but now my truck isn't running!

Today some idiot smashed my truck. Hopefully I get a rental tommorow. What a horrible day

All the glass looks great.

I wish I knew how to errl. Even after the videos it still doesn't click. I'd get a set but it would collect dust until I figured it out. I don't even mind glass as just an artpiece, but would be embarassing if someone came over and wanted to use it. Or maybe getting a set would force me to learn..

I'll end up on the news with 3rd degree burns and blown out windows.

Here's a couple vac stack pictures......


This is what the inner and outer tube start as. You fill them with 14-17 color sticks that are 4" long each then stuff em all inside.........like......


like this! Then you have to attach it to a shop vac and suck out air while rotating it in a raaaaaging flame. 20 minutes and a bucket of sweat later (sweat from your head sizzles on a hot graphite marver too, steams right off ) you get something that looks like..............


this! The final product. The only error in the tube is one section has to be puffed out a little because it melted a little too far down. 5 minute fix. The colors may also look off, as they are photographed directly from the kiln and in the kiln color looks different (yellow looks dark brown as example). The real color scheme is just like the rainbow/black pictured pipes from the last photo update.

Looks good. Never used a vacuum for it before. How do you attaych the shop vac?

what about trying your hand on a lefty side car bubbler?

Blowtube to blowhose..... Then just stick the mouthpiece part of the blowtube into the top of the shop vacs hose. You dont want to pull a ton of air, just lay the tube in the hose and it'll give a nice gentle suction to pull those air bubbles out...

I havent really dabbled with side car bubblers, but when I do there'll be some pics

simply amazing that looks like a cool hobby, but i bet it is to expensive to buy all the equipment

I got it today and it looks even better in person!

Now I have a complete oil set from u, tube, dish, dipstick, paddle

Just spent the last 2 1/2 hrs trimming 1 jack herer beauty. I paid 75$ for a nice ass 5000g digi and used it 1x. Freakin batterys dead. 4 aaa's. Almost dropped the 200 on a sweet tri beam. Should have.

Edit: got a nice plate full og trim n smaller buds I'm gonna use. Should probly get 2 tubes full hopefully.

I never tried that way but I will give it a shot. I have always just used gravity to pull he air out. That me making one in my avatar... I like your combos.

Here's some general advice since you're new to oil......... I'm really glad you enjoy the glass first of all!

When you heat oil, you cant really use a Bic lighter. Your BEST investment is a double or triple (<-- TRIPLE!!!) butane lighter. When you go to get the oil ready:

1.) Briefly, aka 2 or 3 seconds, flash the oil dish with the lighter to "goo" the oil up. Only needed if its cool or hard to make the oil easier to get out.

2.) Get a little drop of oil on the nail. I mean a LITTLE drop! If you use a water droplet size of oil you will fuck your own head up and probably the neighbors with that much oil A little goes a reaaaaaal long way!

3.) Heat up the paddle with the butane torch, but ONLY HEAT THE CLEAR GLASS. If you heat the COLOR glass you will first not do anything productive and secondarily probably cause it to crack and fall apart in your hands. When the paddle starts to turn "red" in color, then its hot enough. Wait for the "red" color of the clear glass you just heated to go away (1 to 5 seconds long) and then drop the nail on the paddle and hold the paddle wherever you can smoke it from

You do a stick stack, we do the vac stack Same results, except the vac stack is about 85% easier to do. I'd be happy to show it to you online live one day too:

Did the vac purge too. And Verde, I don't know how you can get the damn thing past 22 hg. By 18 my hands are dying lol. But vac purging in a hot water bath made a huge differance versus w/o the hot bath.

Only thing is, I can still see trichs covering the buds I used. How did I miss so much? It looks the same lol.

how even is the consistency? there needs to be the same density throughout the tube so that the butane flows & washes over evenly.... if you have some tight spots it might be diverting the flow and missing some of your nuggets.


I can get it up to 24-25 hg... it's a little tough... yes...

Maybe ill run the trim again.

It was packed pretty evenly. Everything went perfectly. Textbook extraction. Just can't see how I got so much oil and there's still so many trichs left.

The trick to see if your herb has been "oiled" enough with butane is to stick some in the vaporizer. If you see clouds when you heat it, there's still THC on it =)

your colors are nice, but id work on shaping, you should be able to do a case of 50, and have sets of 5 that are identical, and most should have the same mouthpiece, carb, bowl placement etc.. just attention to small details. when i started all of my is/o pipes were double flares because it was the only way i could get the mouthpiece worked all the way in.. needless to say it caused me to have really nice cases from the start. i also try to do 30 pipe production days once or twice a week, where ill just slam out productions from a case of points. the exercise there is 60-100 pipes that are identical shapes, just different colors. it makes it easier for the shops to take it off your hands if they know exactly what to expect. they often will just take the whole case without even seeing it all rather than pick and browse through your wares..
