Trying for advice again for closet grow please help me out!

ok so i posted in the general section and didnt get much help so here it goes again lol

I am a first time grower and will be using a closet that has 30 square feet of true grow space. It is almost square! here is my setup i am purchasing

Hydrofarm 8 inch radiant 1000w sodium/halide switchable ballast with the reflector, glass, etc
An exhaust fan setup
A portable digital air conditioner unit
Mylar on the walls
Flat white where mylar does not cover
Inline carbon filter with the exhaust setup

Now my questions are
1) If i am starting from feminized seeds with a yield of 500-650 how many plants can i do? I will NOT be doing a SOG setup
2)If everything goes well, what should i expect to yield from the amount of plants you suggest?
3)whats the best lighting schedule, and what week should i begin ti flower the plants?
4)How soon can i take clippings to start clones, or should i wait until entire grow is done?
And of course any other advice you have!
Thanks for the help

You would do fine with six plants. Its not really the amount of plants. You could get twice the yield from a plant if you just let it veg longer.

2)If everything goes well, what should i expect to yield from the amount of plants you suggest?

Again, the longer you veg, the larger the yield. I would expect an oz a plant to start with. Veg for 30 days.

3)whats the best lighting schedule, and what week should i begin ti flower the plants?

Once you have grown your plant about 2/3rds of the size you want it change the lighting from 18/6 to 12/12 It will fill out from there in flower.

Flowering times depend on the strain, average indica mix is about 8 weeks. I find its usually a week or so longer then whats advertized. (GH fem seeds)

4)How soon can i take clippings to start clones, or should i wait until entire grow is done?

Its recomended to take clones in veg. Not in flower. Take them from the lowest branches as this is where most rooting hormones are found. The soonest you want to take clones and keep a healthy mother is after you have six or eight growing tips. Then again, take them from the lower portion of the plant for the most hormones. Tops will clone too. It just takes a week or so longer but they do. Time wise? about a month.

And of course any other advice you have!

I usually wait until week 2 of flower to take clones. I remove all the lower growth at that point that isnt going to get much light anyway and clone those. Then I veg those while the other are flowering.

when I harvest I have new plants to go in there place, no down time and I harvest every two months.

You can get more by the style of grow. Say use a screen (SCROG not SOG) but other than that you would need more light. Sure you will tweak a few things and possibly do better in the future but 1st time around with 500g as projected yield, an oz a plant is a good goal.

When you are shopping for seeds and see the yield figure that as wet weight.
Dry is about 24% of that.

i am not sure how big of a space that you are using, not sure how big 30 square feet is.. maybe six by five? anyhoos.. i just thought that 1000 watter sounded a little like overkill for such a small space... the 1000 watter is going to be throwing out quite a bit of heat in such a small area, imho... other than that, everything sounds good to me.. i would guess if you had sufficient ventilation, than you could get away with that big of a lamp, or maybe use some cooltubes to help out with the heat..
oh well, just thought that i would mention this.. everything else sounded good..
best of luck with your grow..

Yea the light is much more than what I need but more light usually helps with any penetration issues etc. Also I have a good vent setup And an air conditioner so I'm hoping heat is not an issue. I'm going for probably 10 to 15 plants if possible. I have heard of people getting almost a pound per plant in an indoor grow are they just full if it?

i would concentrate on getting your room set up, then dailed in, then tweeked just a bit, this is a process not buy this then bam pound a plant
you just dont know until you do it...

I agree! Im going to give my room a test run for a few days to get the temp and stuff right im hoping. Run the lights for 18, see how the room reacts etc. I know the humidty will all depend on the plants, but im guessing it will be ok due to number of plants and amountof heat/light. Thanks for all the input guys!
