I want to try out CFLs for my seedlings and veg cycle and need some help with bulbs/fixtures. Instead of asking first, I went to home depot and bought 6 150W clamp light fixtures. (The cheap shop lights for around $6 with the circle-shaped aluminum reflector)The reflectors aren't a smooth texture (little grooves all around them) so I think I'm gonna totally remove them from the socket. Anyways, I also bought 4 27W 5500k bulbs and 2 23W 2700k bulbs. These are the standard n:vision CFL's that they sell at Home Depot. Is this enough light for 2 plants for the first month or two of vegetation or am I gonna need more? If so, couldn't I just buy the Y Socket Adapter for each fixture to equal 12 total bulbs? Also, should I mix the bulbs like this for better spectrum coverage or stick to one type? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
