I've been 24/7 for about 6 weeks now and have had little to no serious problems, but as the weather starts to get hotter in my area i noticed my tent temps are getting a little it on the high side no matter how much air flow i put in there. So I'm gonna swap it over to 18/6.
BUT I'm debating on running a test while i continue to veg for the next 2 weeks or so. Besides my 125W daylight CFL, I also have a 50w LED slightly off to the right side of supplemental lighting. Since it's more of a blurple color much higher in the red spectrum, I'm going to set my timer for the CFL to the 18/6. I'm going to run a second timer on the LED that will turn it on at hour 17.5 and off at hour 6.5. My thought is that it will somewhat resemble sun rise and sunset.
I may continue the technique when I swap to 12/12. In about a week I'm going to get one of those mars hydro 300w. I'll run the new LED for the first 2 hours, then have the daylight kick on for 8 hours, and then off with only the LED for the last 2 before total darkness.
Does this sound crazy?
