Trumptard lie of the day set ablaze - "Best economy in history of the world."

Um, Trump's fault completely. He totally dismantled the Pandemic Response Team years before we found out about Covid 19.
He said it would "go away in the spring"
He said they had it under control when 15 people tested positive in a WA nursing home.
And of course the interview that revealed he know it spread easily, airborne.
Kushner stopped the response to blue states/cities as he thought it would only kill dems.

You think Trump is responsible for travel restrictions in the EU, and internal travel restrictions in the UK?
You think Trump is responsible for nearly all the countries in Asia having closed borders?

I could see a scenario that Trump doesn't fire the frick'in pandemic science team that would have been on the ground as soon as there was a whiff of this virus would have led to a much better early response to it instead of 'it'll go away in a couple weeks' nonsense. You don't?

I think the Chinese (they invented it) and maybe the WHO (they denied it was dangerous) are probably to blame.
But if you want to blame Trump for not nuking Wuhan when the lab first released it, then I could possibly agree with you.

Apart from that, how did he handle it any worse than any other western leader?
At least you got some cash hand-outs ........ my country gave the citizens nothing.

The Chinese were slow. It was 7 days after they did the first RNA sequence before it was released. And that was due to one brave doctor, not the government. The lied about how bad it was. They lied about how much it was like SARS. 80% like SARS btw. But we have a Medical Intel Agency that was getting the news as fast as the Chinese were. We knew early on how bad it was.

Big mistakes were made. The worst was to bring everyone home from Europe without testing or quarantine. That is what seeded the virus here. With Mr Trumpf's announcement being so unclear, everyone thought they just had a couple of three days to get home. That was not the case, but that's what they thought. Everyone rushed home, some with the virus.

But the everyday drumbeat of anti mask, anti science, anti common sense did lots of damage too. Folks think that wearing a mask is some sort of betrayal to Mr Trumpf. As a result of all of these things, we have 456K deaths.

3 days was plenty of time.
I was in Siem Reap at the time (Cambodia), 5pm in the afternoon when I received an email from my airline (Airasia) stating all flights back were cancelled for the foreseeable future, and the borders would be closed at mid-night. I immediately took a taxi to the airport, and asked the check-in desk if I could get on the last flight back (it was half empty). Made it to Bangkok at 11:30pm with 30 minutes to spare. Didn't even have time to check out of the hotel.

As for masks, they don't seem to have made any difference in the UK or Thailand.
You put them on to enter government buildings/banks/supermarkets and Malls, but nobody wears them around my village.

Its not mad made. Ask any scientist who has seen the genetic make up.
Americans love to nuke and bomb people and then complain about abortions.....your a strange mob.
WHO never denied it was dangerous.
It was common knowledge early on and was reported that the WHO were under political pressure from the US and China to delay calling it a Pandemic. Good old Trade and stocks and im sure lots of money was made..But it was called a Pandemic from Countries like Australia early on.
We all knew what was coming. Those with decent strong consistent message from Gov did well those who didnt accept the science did badly, those run by clowns (Boris and Trump) did real bad.

If America and all countries did what New Zealand did for 3 months then the Virus would of died out.

@Lucky Luke nailed the response to what you said in the above post.

How did you come to believe the lies that the Chinese 'invented' it and the WHO thing?

Maybe that’s why they haven’t made a difference.
