I wish.Did that twin reverb have Lansing speakers like the one I had?
I don't know much about the particulars with my twin reverb. I don't remember what happened to it. Guessing it was around 1962 or 64? Ran a Gibson 1959 Les Paul Custom through it and liked playing Yardbirds, Detroit Wheels, etc. at max volume. I'm wearing a fucking hearing aid now. lolI wish.
Mine is a '65-ish (back plate labeled Fender Electrical Instruments pre-CBS takeover) silverface w/ Eminence (12820PA) square backs making it a later blackface internals amp w/ silverface/blue cover.
This mix makes it pretty easy to date w/o taking out the tubes to get to the serial.
I guess it is worth a bit more as it was a "transition" model that was only available for a year?
I do know that replacing my fragged cone Champ speaker w/ a Celestion retained that little cruncher's sound pretty well.
Nice axe!I don't know much about the particulars with my twin reverb. I don't remember what happened to it. Guessing it was around 1962 or 64? Ran a Gibson 1959 Les Paul Custom through it and liked playing Yardbirds, Detroit Wheels, etc. at max volume. I'm wearing a fucking hearing aid now. lol
Yeah, I was a stupid kid and owed like 100 bucks on it and gave it back to the music store cause I'd just gotten married and had no money. It's probably one of the few things that I really regret. I pretty much quit the music thing since I couldn't sing and that doesn't cut it for making money at it.Nice axe!
I had an old Tele too but my friend took it and refinished and he fell in love with it, then I traded it for a bag of acid. lol That was in 1965 (or so) so I don't know what the date on that Tele actually was. I know it was "old" then so another stupid thing I did. Doh!'67 Mustang and '72 Tele here.
I did have a single pickup SG that I still really miss.
