Trump states "Both sides are to blame" for Charlottesville

Not to worry Stoner I'm 61 years old and I've lived through this sort of nonsense many times before. The political environment in this country is generated by a two party political system that tries to have the population standing on either side of a police line spitting in each other's face. Nothing new about that. Unfortunately the US is evolving into a prison run by corporate interests only. The ballot box has been rendered useless by two parties that basically represent no one but greedy psychopaths. Next up is civil disobedience but the corporatists are trying to make us distrust each other based on our differences, which is sad because we have many common goals. Insurance companies, national banks, the war economy....those folks are a HUGE problem.
Good points, but since the beginning of time there has always been a two party system, an us against them mentality in politics (Greece, Rome, Great Britain for example) .
Today though in the US, this pretty much has turned into a situation where the country is truly divided into 2 camps, and that I blame on the GOP.
It was Senator Mitch McConnell that stated he was determined to halt any agenda presented by President Obama in 2009, and the GOP did it's best to stop any action by Obama until he walked out the door of the White House this year.
The Republican racist base, and that is what they are, is a MAJOR reason why this country is in such a state of disarray at this moment.
Now after Trump's election, it seems that all the bullshit espoused by the right is coming home to bite their asses, as the left now is saying enough is enough, go fuck yourselves you self serving son's of bitches, two can play at this game.
The left has watched this shit occur for far too long, and now it's into the streets we go.
Don't blame it on corporations, or the media, it's the fault of the Republicans for all their stonewalling and obviously racist attitudes towards Obama, and the MAJORITY of American citizens are sick to death of it.

What a load of bumbling idiotic s***.

So whats your excuse now since they are wanting to get rid of Washington, Jefferson etc etc

I believe it was George Washington Carver who did not want women's rights. So now are we going to get rid of anything that has to do with him? You know since it triggers women because just the mere mention of him causes blackouts, their hair to fall out, their left arm to shrivel up like raisins.

Everything Trump said was true
why are you siding with literal nazis?

I just had to comment again on the insightfulness of this post.

Neoliberalism was shoved down our throats by the corporatists- and their corporations will happily keep bankrolling the police state to keep it in place as long as they can, while deliberately sowing as much division among the People as possible.

As long as we're fighting each other, they'll keep laughing all the way to the bank and damn the costs- because others will pay them.

right which is why we will support the candidate who wishes to do away with lobby, EC etc and focus on its people and infrastructure- just like the good old days when the wealthy paid their fair share. there will be one candidate minimally who wishes this. time to give him our vote and stop looking for the nefarious.

If you look at the "come together" statements Bernie made a few months ago, then look at what he said in his endorsement of a Kansas mayor candidate, he's pretty divisive. Not to mention his followers have white mans disease.

I don't think Bernie would have gotten anything done.

Better than Trump, probably.

Luckily we don't have to rely on your thinking.

Luckily we don't have to rely on your thinking.
Unlike you, the facts are on my side.

Here is what Bernie said when he endorsed an anti-choice mayoral candidate in April:
"If we are going to protect a woman's right to choose, at the end of the day we're going to need Democratic control over the House and the Senate, and state governments all over this nation," he said. "And we have got to appreciate where people come from, and do our best to fight for the pro-choice agenda. But I think you just can't exclude people who disagree with us on one issue."

I don't disagree with his sentiment. I do say that it's about the coldest handshake in an endorsement speech I've ever heard. It makes Bernie look absolutely clueless.

Then there is this statement at a "Unity Tour" rally with Perez:

"How in God's name are they winning elections?" Sanders asked, exasperated. "And I think the answer to that is the failure of the Democratic Party — to have a progressive agenda, to bring people into the party, to mobilize people. And that's what I'm running around this country trying to do."

Again, I don't disagree with Sanders. However to say that during a tour to unify the party? LOL. There are other examples of his hapless ability to connect and unify a group outside of white educated young men.

Even his former campaign director looks askance at "Bernie the Unifier"

Symone Sanders, who was Sanders’s campaign press secretary (no relation), said her former boss does want to bring Democrats together, but acknowledged that his focus is to push progressive policies. “He told all y’all,” she said. “He’s not a Democrat. He’s an independent who cares about the issues.” Moreover, Sanders has no patience for the tightly scripted messaging that might have benefited a tour as delicate as this one. “Nobody puts baby in the corner,” she joked, “and nobody tells Bernie Sanders what to do.”

In retrospect, she said, “Maybe Bernie Sanders isn’t the guy for the unity tour.”

LOL, "maybe Bernie isn't the guy for the unity tour" Bernie is good for Bernie. From the above examples of Bernie, he'd be a rotten President of the US.

Wow. An impotent attempt at a burn and a nonsensical fantasy construct. How's this: Bernie is a moot point; he lost, before running against Trump and very likely won't be in the running in 2020. Let this Bernie fantasy go, it won't happen. Clinton won't be in it either. Spend the time to rebuild the party to win.
