How to get free anonymous internet from a "neighbours" open Wi-Fi over 1 mile away,


Uses a 1000mW usb Wi-Fi adaptor, 2 dog food tins and a old satalite dish. cost £20!

Gets me about 100 available Wi-Fi connetions, plenty of em are open!

So use a password on ya network or someone will post growing pics on your IP over 1 mile away from your house! lol

Na ya pop a hole in the tins at a 1/4 wave of 2.4 Ghz and poke the arial through this hole into the can's. (about 1" from bottom) the adaptor is the black thing on top off tins wraped in selotape to keep dry.

It aint growin but Id like to see police track my IP and bust a house 1 mile away from mine, lol

It's cute how you know nothing about wireless networks. It isn't hard to trianglulate where a signal is be received from. If someone wanted you dude. They'd get you. Stop underestimating the cops. They aren't stupid. And your not using there ip...lol your just connected to their router. You have your own authentic ip....lol. I hope you connect to an open honeypot...lol. cause then your screwed.

I know quite a lot about it m8, I spoof my mac address to look like an I-phone as they have a set patten and anyone would think im on a phone quite close.

I know they "could" triangulate and follow but come on, its more safe than using an IP in my name and address?

I use "cain and able" to see what the F im connecting to, and use the internet like im at a airport or something, e.g. no credit cards, address, name, etc

As long as I dont hack any WEP I dont even think it is ilegal in engand, as its an "open" network

Yep! but are they going to bother? calling specialist's with £££££ worth of equipment? When its the person who's network I connect to who is tecnicaly braking the law by having an "open" network against the providers terms and conditions.

damn. Must try. Need to find a sattelite dish, but I can always rig one up from cardboard and aluminum foil until I find a decent one.....

Its VERY hard to make a true parabolic shape with all reflection on a small spot, I got mine free by posting an add on www.freecycle.org I had to take it down but it was free!

it's not that hard. people have been making smaller scale jobs for years and years. there are guides all over the palce giving angles and measurements, very common for simply boosting your wireless antenna in an old house

just use the "feed horn", the dog cans! this will give about 12DB gain and portable. I estimate the whole dish is about +30DB gain.

Just google "pringle can antenna" for instructions
