Healthy plant's! Man I need a new camera, that way you could check out my babies too! I put a few in at about the same time as yours. Anyway I always enjoy seeing those healthy flowers, keep up the good work! Happy growing, it brings much more to the grower than only the product. I recently started dosing my plants with Classical music (avoiding non-harmonics) with contemporary Up-beat music (Electro, Reggae, Jazz, Blues), most of it was selected for repetition and harmonics although some of the music is non-harmonic to force in times for the plants to move down and breath between sets. They are looking great. If I were you I would consider adding in supplemental music, normally the forest floor is a stir with the many sounds of life. The wind, birds and sounds of animals are enough to drive a plant into the sun. How does this compare to harsh hum of the electric fan and ballast? I'm just stepping up my set up.

I'm always looking for unique ways to improve plant vigor, have you come up with anything interesting in-terms of potential with the supplemental far red light? I always think it's great when growers step out of their comfort zone of "what works" to "what could work" and try unique techniques that have memetic significance and possibly unknown genetic influence. Just some thoughts.
Best of luck in your growing endeavors,

Looking Sweet In Your Tent Puffdaddy. How You Liking The H350.I Purchased A Couple Of New Toy's My Damn Self To Play With.Area-51 135x3w+4w Total Power Output 265 Watts And A 100X3w+4w Total Power Output 180 Watts Both Will Go In A 35X54X84 Tent.Peace And Puppytail Grease :weed:
What's up big bad dawg? Thanks for compliment. Im still liking the h350. I definitely want to do a separate solo grow with just the kessil to see what it can do by itself. As a supplemental light, I really like it because of its size. Perfect fit to take care of light gaps or shadowy corners, but like I said, it should be tested to see how it stands on its own before making a complete observation. Thats awesome you finally made a purchase, ill be excited to see how the a51 lights work out for you. Thought it was weird how everyone who was talking about them just kind of disappeared from here. What do you mean by 3w+4w?

Hey iLove! Thanks for stopping by, glad to see you're still around. Music is an area that I haven't done much research on, but I've heard of some experiments but nothing with definitive results. Definitely something im interested in, I always like trying out new grow tactics and I think this wouldnt be hard to add to my garden. I hear what youre saying about all the sounds of nature, but I think I read somewhere that it isn't necessarily the sounds that cause the effects but rather the vibrations, makes sense I guess plants don't have auditory receptors, or do they?? As far as the findings on far red exposure, I've been playing around with it for about a year, nothing entirely scientific in nature, but have found that the buds with more far red exposure tend to be tighter in density and are often slightly ahead in development. Ive heard it can also alter the flowering time but dont have a way to measure this.

Puff and curly have been running cocco + led with great results.............I'm leaning towards it in my next little grow(i am gonna buffer it w organic soil/perlite though)....

Coco is my all time favorite medium. My feeding schedule is not set in stone. I typically go through a gallon of water plus nutes every 2-3 days, but I only as needed. I wait until the coco is pretty dry before feeding again. The important thing about leds is that you don't have to water very much as it dries out slowly. The biggest mistake I made was not letting the coco dry up inbetween waterings and I got root rot on my first led grow. If you are the type to feed more often, just do it but in smaller feedings.

yes what he said. and if you are that type, don't do that during the first weeks of life.. you want the roots to develop and search down for water.. than you can start feed more often. Coz even if you don't get root rot, you can have under developed plants (that was my mistake with coco)

do not under any circumstances put soil in with your coco ..... 25% perlite an thats it , want a hassle free grow pick up some canna coco nutes and follow the light feeding chart for 2 weeks then the normal to harvest so simple its stupid you can skip the boost an cannazym (especialy this) or use canadian xpress headmasta instead of boost its better imo and i garantee you the best harvest youve had over your soil grows
want to make it even easier pick up some house an garden drip clean add it as directed after the first 2 weeks water to 15-20% run off every watering an never have to flush. At harvest do a 3-5 day max sledgehammer flush with it + black strap if you feel the need to flush but you wont need to ime

Thanks for the advice..........but i'm going to respectfully disagree with it:)........many master growers add cocco to their native soil without issues....and my local water ph is around 6.9-7.1 and i'm not fussing with any ph down products or vinegar to run straight cocco/perlite(5.9-6.1ph)...

be safe and happy growing

i did say do not add soil to your coco as you did say you were amending coco with organic soil but yes you can indeed add coco to your organic soil understand the differnce though and your halfway there if not have fun chasing your ph . Its your right to disagree but being a master cultivator i only wish to save you from a potentialy catastrophic nightmare time is money friend . for what its worth my local water is the same ph range 98% of the time with a base ec of 0.2 and my ph comes out to exactly 5.6-5.8 every time using the above combo of nutes you could call it my KISS ph perfect method . my advise go coco all they way an you will never go back feed the medium which feeds your plants pick up a res airstones an a pump an some blumats an you could one day be bestowed the title of master cultivator cause i mean they gave that to me an im one of the laziest mofo on planet earth i shit you not.

Sup everyone? I'll have another update on 5/12 on the girls. Medikal has a couple good points about mixing soil in with coco...watching out for ph swings and nutrient burn. The ph range for soil is a little higher than with coco, plus coco requires nutrients and adding them in with the soil which already has nutrients could cause a little burn. Personally, I'd only mix coco with either perlite or clay pebbles. I like it straight though.

Hope everyone is enjoying the show so far. Let me know if you have any requests or specific questions, happy to answer or help out anywhere I can. Thanks for stopping by, peace and I'm out like a one legged man in an ass kickin' contest. (<---- Inspiried by the Dawg!)

Ha.........I'll take your recommendation about straight cocco too:), my problem is it will be a first run for me with it(trying for keep the KISS system)and the inclusion of all these unknown variables for me : new led panel/straight cocco/ sealed stealth, its got me a little worried.........Adding soil was just to normalize (peace of mind) a new grow after a long hiatus........Idk a summer(sealed) run worries me in general......was thinking the soil addition would up my ph and add a little better moisture control in the hot months ahead:)

Ill pm you if need any specifics.............thanks brother

Whats up kang? Thanks for stopping by! Yes, you can start out your seeds in coco too. You can either pick up some Canna Start which is a special formula for seedlings. I haven't tried start yet but im sure it works. What I do is the soak the seeds in water + rhizotonic, paper towel method, then put in coco that has been presoaked in very minimal coco a &b (like 1ml/gal of water) with rhizo until theyre big enough to handle higher doses. Hope that helps, best of luck to you. Might want to check out either the canna thread or the coco growers thread here on riu.

No problem, Anytime. Keeping it simple is the best all around growing advice out there. Coco is simple enough in its own right. Looking forward to your impressions on the new light and new medium.
