nice choice on led manufacturer they make good shit, however i would suggest for your 4x4 tent not to get 1 290 but to go with 2 180 panels you will actually get better results the reason being each LED has a total footprint and a saturation foot print, the saturation footprint is the most INTENSE part of the footprint, thus making it more benficial for you to be rockin the 2 180's not to mention more actual light output anyways than the 290, for about another 150 i think you can get the 2 180's instead of teh single 290. Either way you go though GLH is gonna work out nice.

So here in about 2 weeks my op should be 3 times as big, safer, and much more stealthy √ I can't WAIT to get a GLH Spectra LED 290 in there! ahh....the dreams already Lol

Thinking about buying some Mylar Fabric and making 1x4 of the grow tent a hole different section...that way my veg box and flowering box can all be in one piece and stealthyish


as far as the block spots....I'm 99% positive it's bug damage. They've been there for a good while, just never really had any money to do anything about it until now. I bought some Safer soap and burned my plants with it the other day, so I figured I'd just wait it out for another 3-5 weeks when all my girls will be done, and I can clean up shop.

Right on man, thanks for the rundown....

Hydro is a ton of less work...the trick is to use one reservoir for the whole grow room. This way you are working on watering every plant with one shot. One cleanup, one ph check, one ppm check, one water change. I have made the switch to flood and drain and im lovin it. Also am lovin my new 1000w. The feeling you get from your 175 will really make you feel good when you install the 400. Your making these small jumps, why not just go big and get 1000? You got ventilation to handle 400w? You should be exchanging air outside.
Sounds like your making the right moves. Why buy weed when you can invest in growing it. I just got to the point where I prefer my homegrown rather than club weed.

What kind of nutrients you using?

Order you a 4' x 4' flood table for that tent. Keep reservoir outside so it keeps the water cooler. I just bought a storage tote from wall mart for my reservoir. Get a pump and a digital timer...your all set. You could even use it to water the soil plants.

The most important thing, clean up shop before you start again. Dont save any clones, quit grabbin shit from outside cuz its free! Clean up real good and buy an insect bomb...set that fucker off. Use bleach and water solution. Get a nice fresh start with the new 400w. It will be your biggest investment, the cost: time.

To be honest with you, heat is a MAJOR issue with my grow.....I've been thinking about getting LED's for about 3 weeks now, and finally started doing a little more research on it this weekend. During the research I was checking ebay to check prices on a grow tent, and LEDs, when I came across the 400w and tent. Saw somebody bid the lowest bid, which I figured was pretty cheap, so I went with a $.50 +1 Lol figuring he'd probably out bid me....nope. I won it Lol But it's ok, I Figure if I hate the 400w I can always just sell it and buy me an LED. √

Right now I'm using Schultz 10-15-10 with Micros. It's nothing super great, but it's keeps them green and healthy √

Definitely probably won't be doing a full switch to hydro, but I saw BlueBerry had grown an 8 oz 5gal DWC scrog, so I Figured why not make a 5 gal DWC and atleast push for 5 ozs and

I plan on keeping everything I have going now since the tent will have it's own light, that way I really dont have to worry about bugs too much except for when I'm done. I can't wait to veg with that 400w and see how much bigger my plants will be. Once all is setup and done, I'll be flowering with that 400w and vegging with my 175 √

Cool cool. If your having heat issues with your 175, your 400 is going to be alot worse. Instead of the LED's why not put a ventilation system in? Push hot air outside and let fresh air come from the house. This is what I do. I stayed around 80 all summer long.

A hot reservoir is the worst thing for hydro. The water cant be oxygenated as well as it could at cooler temperatures. This invites the bad bacterias...leading to root rot and a shit more. Forgive me, i just woke up lol...

Yeah I had high res temps earlier this year, but pulled my ballast out of the closet and now I get a stead 78*F √

I'm a renter, so there will be absolutely no work done on the house as far as venting and such....however I've been growing out of a 3x1 closet for the past 3 months, so I'm pretty sure once I get this tent with all the intake and exhaust setup I should be able to wrap a finger around temperature √ my Ambient temps in the room are a lot easier to control than the heat up to a foot away from the bulb is. Not to mention the 400w has a cool tube setup, so if I absolutely need to I can just hook up a fan to it.

Man not a thing Lol.....just putting off getting up and cleaning up around the house. I gotta work at 4 or 5, but I should get off early cuz I clock in with ot tonight √
The other day I bough some Safer soap trying to get rid of the bugs and read on the package that it said suggested 50:1 ratio.....well stupid me did 2:1 completely not even thinking, and I burned one of my flowering girls, and 2 seedlings....thankfully the seedlings are producing side growth, cuz I'm pretty sure I fried the top growths.....My hydro was basically topped at the 3rd node, and the soil seedling should be topped at the second. Not real sure what strains these are yet, since I mixed them up, but I have a calizhar that popped and 2 purple bag seeds.

Yeah, gave them a good 2 days rinse...just gonna lay off and let them branch out a little...been putting little ones in with the MH at lights on...giving them 24/7 light...my flowering closet is low, and I wanted to see the difference in vegging with just CFLs vs MH. This next run that will go through, I'm gonna push to pull out atleast an ounce a week. gonna try to stock up during the winter that way when the dry spell hits around April I can bring the market down from 25/g to 15/g. Taking one for the team!

this is true, which is why i sell all my stuff no matter the quality at ten a gram, and a lot of times if i got a lot and i know you its just free, honestly no one should have to pay for herb i only charge to feed myself and keep a roof over my head and my girls. Thats just because i have to. =( stupid government.

I agree man.....I'd like it to make it to $10 here too, but the supply and demand is so high, with just a 4x4 room there's no way I could keep up....I need atleast 2 1ks just to get the yield I need for the amount of college kids we have here.

I bought an ounce and a half of reggie last night for $105 >< ended up only getting 30 grams out of the deal too >< Fuck the reggie, good good is just as easier, and quicker to grow and can be sold at almost the same price ><

Psychild, I'm hoping that both of those Super Silver Haze seeds come through for you... Haze is such a tasty strain! You're a true hero working to get prices lower, the herbal community needs more growers like you. I'll be checking back frequently to see your progress.
