trouble in paradise....need advise, FAST!

I am into my eighth week of flowering, and I just made a ghastly discovery There are seed pods growing on some of the suckers on some of the lower branches. I immediately cut the suckers out with the pods on them. Just need to know if my entire crop is in peril. I have 4 different strains, two of which (Afghan Kush Special-one plant, and Chemdawg-one plant) ought to be ready in about a week to ten days, another strain (5-White Widow) ready in two weeks, and the sativa Outlaw strain (5-plants) ready to chop in about a month.

I haven't inspected all of my plants yet, doing that now, but so far I have found seeds on the White Widow strain and the Chemdawg. It seems to be somewhat localized, so my thought is to cut the suckers at the risk of traumatizing the plants causing them to Hermie on me even further. No sign of seed pods in any of the main colas, but haven't really inspected them that closely just yet.

Your thought on what course of action I ought to take would right now be greatly appreciated

I'll get some in a few minutes

so here's what I got. They are seed pods. They are hard, and I actually popped an unripe seed from a pod. As you can see they are very small suckers that I thought I would leave on and make hash out of. There are more suckers than this sample involved that I already chopped. The Outlaws and the AKS seem unaffected, but will still need to take a real good look to make sure things are ok.

No, I keep things very dark during the dark cycle.

Its hermying on you. You need to remove the plant that these samples came from. If you dont, the plant will produce pollen and contaminate your non hermie plants. Hermie is also genetic so any seeds that you would get would also be hermies as well

op is there a hermie there? those are just seed pods which a female will produce when pollinated,it has no nanners so its not a hermie, one of your others must be, or its been pollinated by someone elses.

So remove hermie as in "chop it down'? As you can tell my colas are close to ripe, how will this affect potency? Still smokable stuff?

You don't have to chop it but I'd finish it in another room if you can.

its not a herm.those are not pollen sacks.

I have inspected my plants and haven't found any nanners. I removed the suckers from plants that had seed pods. The problem doesn't seem widespread, and affecting only the lower third of the plants. The Chemdawg might be the culprit, as I found more seed pods on her than any other plant. Can you tell if the upper canopy buds are affected by visual inspection? I can take some snapshots if that would help.

A friend of mine said even female plants will produce seeds, and we all occasionally get a rare seed or three from a bag of weed. Any truth to this? maybe this is what's going on.

If anything, I might just isolate Chemdawg outside the grow room and try to finish the rest in the grow room. Your thoughts?

I think I'll smoke a little bit of the dried sucker buds right now just to mellow out a bit

Is there actually a seed forming inside them? What you call pods do produce seeds if pollinated and are your flowers. Some call them a calyxe but I personally consider them a bract. If the plant does not get pollinated then the plant will fill them with resin the last few weeks of maturing...

some strains ,fem seeds mainly will through out a few male parts late in the flowering cycle.Don't stress about it ,it probably will not even be viable pollen ,if it is it will be an insiginficant amount ,you might get 1 or 2 seeds ,but your weed will still be great!
