trouble in DWC...

Well i have had A pk clone in DWC for about a month and a half...the leaves are growing out...as one....
you know how there should be like 5,7,9,11,,,,,leaves on each one...well mines shooting out one leafers...
i saw the roots on it the other day there not the bright white i see everywhere else....my soil clones are bigger and better looking than them....and idea what im doing wrong..?
i got like 2 gallons or so in the res but this hydro is looking like shit to me...please help me out here.. its about 20 inches away from a 400watt mh HID
temp is from 75-80..idk the water temp

The fact that you don't know the water temp is part of the reason it's looking bad.

Do your roots feel slimy?

no the roots are not slimy, someone told me to stick an icepack in there but that seemed like to much opening the res and letting the roots see to much light?
but how is it lack of light..400 watts like 18-20 inches away is lacking??

you could try taking clones off non-retarded parts of the plant.

opening to put in ice bottles would never be a problem, it is prolonged exposure to light that causes problems. revegging? the only time ive ever seen the single leafs is when cuttings were taken from a plant that was already 1-2 weeks,or more, into flower and the change back to veg lighting cause weird things to happen while it changes back to vegging. lack of light? some lower leafs will slightly mutate to form longer stems and smaller overall size to extend out past top growth to get light.

I had this on a plant, much scrawnier plant than the other plants and was growing one leafers,,,,, only one not to have bubble stone, I assumed lack of 02

would i be advisable to remove the lower leaves? and thanks i was afraid to open it up daily for ice packs, and yes it was in about a week or more of flowering i see what you mean now

Do you have any testing equipment such as a pH meter or a meter for TDS/EC?
