Those were all from seed but a fairly long veg time and I do lollipop more now tho still not enough. I like a few lower branches for taking clones or dusting for seeds
I've done a single plant ScroG in a tub that took a long time in veg but I was criss-crossing branches back and forth longer than I should have. When a branch grew out to the edge of the screen I'd turn it around and start it back across and be tying down all the side branches that grew from it too. Got 8oz off that one plant but 2lbs off that tub that had 12 in it with less veg time. I'm talking a real ScroG and not a 'I put a screen up to support my colas and am calling it a ScroG' like most I see here. Those aren't ScroGs.
Buckets are fine for RDWC but don't have the volume needed for stand-alone DWC. With the added volume in a tub there is a much more stable environment and I only had to top up and adjust nutes every 3 days or longer when the plants were smaller. Did my first DWC grows in '01 with no interweb or grow guides to get info from.
I'm growing a bunch of different strains these days so sticking to growing in pots until I decide on two or three to concentrate on then have plans to set up a new 8x4 flower space connected to my grow room for DWC. Four tubs, two plants each in ScroG and likely a different strain in each tub.
Growing in pots is a lot more hassle for less yields but I'm playing around with a dozen plants and 6 strains atm. Going to be treating a few with STS and make some fem seeds of some. Have 4 hi-CBD plants I want to cross with some of my favorite sativa leaning ones and now have 3 different kush types to play with as well as an AK47 reveg and 4 of a buddy's cross of Island Sweet Skunk and DJ Short's blueberry. Took two cuttings off each of a dozen plants last night to make sure I don't lose the "ONE" as I have in the past. Hate when you finally grow the perfect pheno but didn't have backups and the reveg doesn't work. lol
