Trouble cooling grow space

Well lads and ladies,

Im having trouble cooling my grow space. I have always had a problem but thought by buying a bigger fan it would fix it but apprantly not.

I dont know the exact measurements of the grow space of the top of my head but its roughly 18x24x71 inches.

I use a 250w hps

I used to use a 120cm pc fan for extracting and had either passive intake or another pc on the intake and that necer really got my room cool enough but i could grow. This time round i went with a proper 4inch inline fan that was rated more than what i needed. Have it all hooked up now and its no better than the pc fan, my temps are between 28c and 32c with the new fan.

Where am i going wrong.?

Where are you exhausting to? Where is the fresh air coming from and what is the temp of the fresh air?

Exhausting outside, fresh air comes from outside also temp is around 8-12'c.

The air coming out of the exhaust is cold

Odd the temp from the exhaust would be cold... so I am guessing the light is in an open reflector? any pic's of the setup? Sounds like the exhaust is close to the intake and pulling in that air instead of exhausting the heat from the light, but only a guess without seeing the setup...

Yeah i was thinking that its strange for the aor to be comming out cold, should be warm right, cant get a pic till i am home from work in a few hours.

Yeah its an open reflector, naa its not pulling in the exhausted air, they are too far apart

Ok... a pic will sure help... the exhaust is at the top of the space, right? Intake at bottom of space?

Yeah i had exhaust at the top but its now right by the seedling, intake in the bottom coming through the floor

Exhaust should be at top..at/near light.... heat rises, cooler air settles... if your exhaust is low then you are pulling out the cool air that should be flowing upward toward the exhaust. Exhaust at top, cool air intake low, creating a cooling effect through the grow area...

I will set it up that way again but tbh it made no difference to the temp where i put the exhaust

How is the air getting into your tent? And are you getting any type of negative pressure on the tent/room? (Walls getting sucked in?)

I don't know your budget. But air cooled is a lot better (I know it was posted wanted to reinforce that idea) Or LED is really good for temps.

Do you have another inline fan? Extra noise ok? Also what temps are you getting in your room?

Im growing in an unused closet, so no walls getting sucked in. My budjet is virtually nothing.

I dont have another fan, and cant have any more noise, its already too loud (have to do a bit of soubd proofing)

Thats what im working with, very ghetto needs a bit of tiding. I also have some mylar to put up.

Exhaust is the ducting you can see on the bottom right, that exhausts about 5foot to the right to outside.

Intake is behind the box on the floor pulling air from outside

The exhaust is just to low... it needs to be at the top of the cabinet, especially if the intake is behind the box, from what I see the exhaust is pulling air right from where you have the intake.
