I have 2 2 foot plants being lst and was wondering should I cut the low branches that wont become of any thing? I've herd that its good for the energy flow less energy used on lower nodes is this true?

Personal preference.

I clean up the bottoms.

But the larf can come in handy when the buddage gets low.

And yes you are correct, removing any thing put all plants energy into what is left.

Yeah, I like to denude my ladies bottom 1/3 at least.. AND then go into the top 2/3 and remove branches that grow sideways or into the center of the plant.. I get huge nuggets and no larf when I prune the hardest..

So is it okay to top n then prune bottom 1/3rd? Not all in one setting of course; but over time? like chop top n then 2 wks later prune 1/3rd bottom of plant?

They say you shouldn't do more than 1/3 of a plant at one time.. So you can top and prune.. I like to prune from the bottom, while others like to top them..

Both is a bit different.. but with a time in between, you'll be fine.

So you'll top now, which will cause the bottom to bush out.. then in a week you trim the bottom 1/3 off and throw it in flower room.. clean it up again after a week or two of flowering..

First of all thanks for the quick replies guys, I was just makin sure my second batch of babies didn't go the way my 1st batch did... All over the f*ing place! Got a 7.5x8.5 that can barely contain 6 monsterous plants, I did nothing to them but feed em'. So with this new batch (gonna do 35 in that same space...-whew-), I have to make sure that these girls will be more easily managed by taking steps now... again thank-you for the advice +1 rep to both entries :)

thanks man.. you'll be happy to see what happens when you trim these down. Since you have a few plants, why not try more aggressive pruning on one, medium on the others.. Then you can see the outcome.. You may find that the most-pruned one is easiest in the end and makes the best nugs.. You will get a feel for it after a while..

That is pretty aggressive. You can usually trim back the smaller branches at the bottom, you can tell the skinny ones that are not going to do anything. On the ones I keep, I usually trim the first two or three sets from the bottom off. You will get the hang of it after you harvest and figure out you could of trimmed more up. Those will definitely be the choicest for sure. Best of luck
