Trimming in second week of flower

I usually like to trim any major fan leaves covering colas. Want them to get as much light as possible the farther into flower you get. Then obviously you want the bottom trimmed nicely for addiquete air flow.

Yeah go ahead and stress em, your not gonna get much more yield , probably less.

Most the plants look hungry btw, and just that is not good.
Are you suggesting not to trim them then? This is my first grow I can't tell if you were being sarcastic or not. I've been feeding with FF Trio every other watering as per their schedule + calmag & worm tea

May wanna up to every watering or up it a little more. Looks like maybe cut out the nitrogen part a little early

The leaves are where the plant draws it's energy
The notion that somehow moving a leave to increase bud size or potency is BS
Anyone who grows knows that some of the frostiest bugs come from lowers that were shielded by leaves

when i look at it i see clawing leaves with burnt tips so i don’t think you’re underfeeding but probably overfeeding and that causes lockout or some shit this is my guess tho

Very interesting thought... so you would argue that having a bud covered with fan leaves would grow larger than snipping those fan leaves while keeping all sugar leaves intact and giving cola direct lighting? If that'd the case why does larf usually grow in those conditions...

Not saying it's bs just trying to educate myself if I wa previously mistaken... got any docs to support this?

No I wouldn’t argue anything
I smell something nasty though
Care to prove it works ?

Honestly I don't have pics but I def see it in my grows... the buds that have adequate light grow dencer and more tricomes than the larf at the bottom. One would think if light only matter to canopy that the lower buds attached to main stem would be strongest but thats not the case... the best buds are at the top... nearest light

Not always the frostiest though

Fan leaves feed the plant, including the buds.
Sure, you can remove some.
If you can tuck the fans that's a better move.
Absolutely they do but that doesn't mean you can hide the buds from light...I think the tradeoff is worth it especially if you have a lot of healthy fan leaves sticking outwards
