Trimming fan leaves

Not sure I would trim that so early. There is plenty of light still getting down...that girl is not bushy...lol.

It seems you are not using any LST so I am not sure trimming it would do any good. The point of trimming is to expose the inside and helps mostly when using LST.

Check this grow here, see how he LST to open up the middle/center , any fan leaves covering that area would be removed.

Just my 2 cents

Can I trim this large fan leave? Seen some videos seem to be trimming smaller leaves off. First time around and since it’s stretched I have these big fan leaves covering bud sites.
Removing fan leaves should be done strategically and for good reason. Fan leaves are the solar panels to your plant, like the solar panels to a house. Remove the solar panels from a house, you lose power ( that is if it’s the only way the house receives power ), same concept with plants. Tuck and move as much as possible, try to avoid clipping anything unless it’s absolutely necessary, the plant will thank you later.

You can still LST but just be careful not to break stem. Here is some of my LST from current grow which happens to be my first real grow! I started very young after 2nd/3rd set of true leaves. The goal is to keep the canopy even, just google LST for some great guides.

Those look great, can I ask how big you let your canopy get before flipping to flower? I’m trying to figure out the best time for my ladies!

Appreciate the photos. Was also wondering if some people leave tips were turning yellow and bending back a little. Seems like everyone’s does a little. I will try Lts my next grow. Thank you

Its my first grow but I figured the less I mess with them the better....seems to be working great for me. I am using fox farms trio and ocean forest soil.

That is edge of Nute burn....a little is ok but have to be careful. I use 1/2 dosage on Fox farms trio starting week 3

LST is one of the most simple things you can do to substantially increase your yield
That and topping (for photo plants, not auto)
You will probably double your yield

Well that depends if the auto tends to grow beyond 40+ inches and if she does a good top or fim will increase yields. Some of these are called "super autos" such as auto ultimate or think different.
