Trimming dead leaves, can I just pull them off?

This is only my second time growing. For the most part I'm doing pretty good but I don't know what to do about the dying fan leaves. Can I just pull them off or do I need to trim them at a 45 degree angle?

If you can pull them off easily and get our fingers to the stem, then pull them. ... otherwise a pair of long nose shears/scissors will do.

Theres a technique behind 'snapping' the fan leaf off, you'll pick it up in 5 minutes.

edit:

I misread - I thought you were at harvest.

Sorry about that, I didn't specify. I'm in my second week of flowering.

Why "Dead leaves"?
Pics would help us to let you know if they are "dead" or eligible for removable, but ya, if you give a light flick downwards on it and it falls off, then it is pretty much useless, but if there is any resistance, then leave it.

It's a plant, not a baby. And for crying out loud, go to a garden center for gardening advice, not a fucking 'hydro shop'.

I have a perpetual grow and don't even worry about the dead fans; too many plants. Mine just fall off into the buckets and are collected during room clean.
If they are dead they should almost fall off; like Bakatare666 said, slight downward pressure will take a really dead leaf right off.

I had some ragged fan leaves from the hail damage. They were yellowing and turning brown and I worried they might spread their problem so I just pinched them off with my fingernails. Probably not necessary but I felt better aftwards;-)

I use N in flower like you should, Just LESS N in flower, not NO N. So I dont have dead leave until the final week before harvest. AT 2 weeks into flower, the plant should be Green as fuck,
