Triming question

My Pineapple Kush is 10 Days into flower and she is really starting to go. Was thinking if triming (like you would for cloning) the fan leaves instead of totally removing them would be more beneficial to the plant and bud growth?

Debatable subject. I don't agree it would help.

Don't do it. Let me just trim your fingers and toes.. if the plant didn't use the leaves it wouldn't grow them. Plants drop leaves they dont use anymore. Remove those only imo.

some folks are against any trimming at all. i clear cut all growth from the bottom to about 7-8 inches up. this really helps with air circulation beneath the canopy. i put a small fan under there and put it on low. i also trim leaves that are in the way of bud-sites on top of the plant too. when trimming, you don't want to do it all at the same time. spread it out over a few days. this will keep the stress to a minimum....

Nothing wrong with pruning lower growth that's not getting light.

i trimed alot of leaf and lower branches off my last outdoor grow,it did seem to stun the plant,but only for few days ,i did it 3 or 4 times,i did get 6 oz of ass kicking buds,off a 24 inch tall the largest weighing 20 grams dryed,and cured,so i cant say what effect it had on quality as this stuff kicks,,however,i also dont know what would have happened had i not trimmed,I will comment that after harvest when i later layed the five gallon bucket on its side and slowly worked out the root ball,i noticed that after the last transplant from 3 to 5 gallon at about 10 weeks old,,the root ball had not grow at all into the new soil around the original 3 gallon root ball,so id have to say,it def discouraged root growth into the larger size bucket,it grew about 8 more weeks in the same root area,that being said,i wont trim much on my current grow,and see what happens this time,peace!

I trim mine pretty high up under my 2k hps

I have trimmed some fan leaves and lower growth already, Mine tend to stay low and get real bushy.
I just wanted to see if it would help, hurt or do nothing for Production.

You should do all your trimming in Veg. at least 2 weeks before flower.
IMO- trimming your fan leaves, (especially the ones in the light) isn't going to get you ahead of the game.
I would trim all the sucker branches, leaves close to the shoot that are in the shade, and pop corn buds close to the shoot.
Or you can go to plan "B" and add supplemental lighting.
Don't go crazy trimming, the object is to leave as many leafs on the plant as possible.
You start trimming you start stressing the plant. The more you trim the more stress on the plant. That's why you do the trimming in Veg. there's time for the plant to recover from stress.
