Trim Bucket or Harvest Bucket or Trim Bag

Does anyone have direct experience with either of these products? I’m trying to decide on one or the other. Both buckets are similar in price ($350ish). Both look like they do a nice job. I’ve also been looking at the bowl trimmers, i’m just not convinced though, they don’t seem very good to me. The “Trim Bag” is probably my third choice ($270ish) Definitely trying to stay under $400 but want the closest to hand trimmed with efficiency. Anyone know anything about these products? Or anything similar/better?

No experience with either of those. Is your heart set on dry trim? I use an electric bowl trimmer but I don't think it would world that well with a dry trim.

Yeah dry trimming is the way for me. I never have time to harvest and trim all at once. Doin it dry lets me get at it when i have the time.
No experience but now I'm interested in these products as well lol. I usually let my plants slow dry whole for the same reason of not having time. This could be handy to just bang it out quickly here and there.

Trim bag. If you follow these below steps you should be amazed. I use a Centurion DBT1 machine now because it actually takes less leaves off the buds than the bag but a trim bag will do a pound of weed every 20-30 mins with 1 person.

Drying and Curing Cannabis
  1. Trim away excess leaves and large stems after harvesting.
  2. Hang buds upside down in a dry, cool, and dark place with good airflow.
  3. Maintain temperature (60-70°F) and humidity (50-60%) for 7-14 days until stems snap instead of bending.
  4. Trim away remaining leaves and transfer buds to an airtight container.
  5. Store the jar in a cool, dry, and dark place for 2-4 weeks, opening the jar daily to release any excess moisture and promote even curing.

Exactly how dry does it have to be for the trim bag? because i kinda get the feeling it may have to be dryer than i like it. It’s the one thing holding me back from getting one. I’m not into dusty weed.

It won't be dusty unless you rush dry or don't hang it properly. The buds dry outside in with proper environment (70-75 °F 60-70% RH), let it hang until the sugar leaves easily flick off then its ready to be bagged, ideally you want the core of the buds to still have a little weight to them to help the outer leaves break off. With the bag trimmer or any trimmer your using more impact force than cutting performance to remove leaves. Wet trimming is never good, so I can't comment on that.

usually the buds are dry enough when I can snap the stem the buds on or ill flick at the leaves and if they are bouncy and not breaking off then I don't waste my time trying to trim it in the bag or machine.

Trim Bucket works great. I've had one for 5 years now and still functioning without a problem. Trim bag works if you get your product really dry, but you lose a lot of tric and really it's just a glorified collapsible laundry bag. You can do the same thing with a bucket and lid as long as your weed is crispy dry which I refuse to do. Haven't tried the harvest bucket and I won't because it's obviously a direct rip-off of the trim bucket. Dude that runs trim bucket is super friendly and helpful. 1 man show i think. Just email him he'll cut you a deal. I went with trimbucket because it has a full refund guarantee if you don't like it so what's to lose? Glag I did. I'll get another if this thing ever wears out. Very high quality, all aluminum and stainless steel. The blades have been flattened, polished and sharpened. Unlike the blades in harvest bucket or any other dry trimmer I have used. It makes a difference. It'll even trim if your herb isn't totally dry because it's sharp. Don't do the cheap bowl trimmer things on Amazon. I tried that first and ruined 6 pounds. Just rubs all the tric off the outside. Hope this helps.
