Tried To Make Wax But This Happened?

I dont really do concentrates that much other than hash so I probably did this wrong. I got my Yocan Vulcan in yesterday so last night I mixed up a batch of 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, a bag of sugar trim from my Strong Skunk, and an eight chopped up of my Big Bomb. Put it in a jar filled it with the alcohol shook it for one minute and strained it out. Put it out in the garage in a glass dish with the windows open and had a fan on it just air drying it overnight it was about 45 degrees last night. Usually when I do this it comes out waxy but this is powder, as soon as I touch it though it turns to glue. I put a little in the Yocan and its fantastic. Tastes amazing, just not sure what happened here.

Some material will make crumble like that. Also I'm not familiar with alcohol extraction I always used butane.

Its more like a hash. I probably should have soaked it a little more.

The only time I can make comb or crumble like that is if I over purge BHO. Looks real nice for ISO.

Welcome to the world of good quality QWISO. I am a big fan of qwiso hash, its fast, easy, and can safely be done at home without any special equipment. I love the flavors that can come out from a quick wash, and then a low temp evap like you did. Using air flow instead of heat is a big key to retaining terpenes and flavinoids.

If you collect all that powder in some parchment paper you can squish it together with your finger heat and it will likely turn into shatter. If the material has moisture in it, like fresh frozen, then you might get a more wax style texture.

Wow thats cool to know I can do it with fresh frozen. The terpenes are absolutely awesome in this. The trim was from the first strong skunk I did and the flavor that came out is a strong mango and peaches smell, not the fresh kind but rather the synthetic kind of flavor you would find in gummies or non juice drinks.

I put all that into a couple containers and it did kind of all mend together at room temp. I like how I can touch it and put it in the vape, quickly though cause too long it melts in your fingers.
