Trichs on leaves versus bud?

I am a little confused, I checked my trichs on some plants about ready to harvest. I usually cut a small piece of leaf growing off the bud, but this time I took a piece of bud to examine as well. The trichs on the leaves are showing amber while the trichs on the bud arn't cloudy yet. So does anyone else run into this? Do i just wait for the trichs to start turning amber on the buds and forget the leaves?

Ya want to take a tiny leaf on the bud. Thats what i go by.

I am taking the tiny leaf off the bud and am taking pieces of the actual bud. I was wondering why the trichs on the tiny leaves are already turning amber and the buds trichs are still clear?

going strictly from wat i read on previous posts you wanna go from wat the bud tells u...sumthin bout the trichs on leave being older?

Can anyone give me an educated answer on this please?

Yes, I have. I always research first and only post if i have to. All i read is some people pull it off the bud and some off the small leaves. I cant find a thread were it differentiates the two. THAT IS WHY I'M ASKING EVERYONE HERE.

Can anyone answer this without asking more questions?

well considering you are not gonna smoke the leaves (I'm assuming) you should be paying closer attention to the trichs on the buds.

I appreciate the responses but they are of no help so far. I can't find anything when i search this specific topic. Guess i'll just wait for DirtyBoy to respond back or someone else that can give me more than a guess of a response. Sorry that sounded really Rude! I'm just looking for a definitive answer instead of speculation. Thanks for the help!

I'm going to use those leaves for hash actually. They are easier to remove and look at under the microscope because leaves are flat. I guess i will just go by what the trichs on the bud are telling me.

I'm going to try and get some comparison pics up here in a little while.

The leaves will work perfectly fine for hash, trust me. The buds really need a chance the thicken up. What week of flowering are you in?

Actually it's day 72 today of flowering. The strain is AK47 from Serious, supposed to go 63 to 70 days or so.

Here is a pic of the trichs off a leaf, sorry about the poor quality pic. I ran out of battery on my pocket microscope before I could get one of the clear trichs on the bud. All i can say is the hairs have started to really turn brown now, the fan leaves have almost all changed over to yellow and i think it may be getting close to harvest. I just don't get why the trichs are not changing on the bud. They could be starting to get cloudy, but I can't tell for sure?

getting very close. i guess i don't have the facts to back it up but i would for sure wait for the trichs on the actual buds to be at the ratio that you want... say 60% cloudy 30% amber 10% clear... (thats what i like)

i wouldn't worry about the leaves.. they aren't going to "go bad" you will still get some killer hash from them even if you leave them another week or two.
