trichomes

I hope this is the right place for this question. I have a plant close to harvest and this is my first grow. Im not seeing any trich's on the leaves at all yet. This was just a good bag seed. I know when a friend had some lemon kush and I was able to help him harvest his plants were just covered in trichomes. Im really just trying to make sure I harvest at the right time and I didn't keep track of time after flowering started. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

I just harvested a bagseed sativa and non trics either, but great smoke. I let mine go until she quit growing. cheers, trichomes are 'very' highly over-rated. Plants can have tons of trics with very little kick (thc). True, look it up, i seen a post, it also works vise-a-versa.

Welcome to Rollitup Fuckstick (snickers). Pix will get you more looks and comments than anything else. Just to clarify, when you say the "leaves" don't have trichs, do you mean the big fan leaves?

Yeah maybe go get a magnifying lens, could help your cause. Adding a UVB spectrum in your grow room will help in the production of trichs and hopefully THC (from what I'm told .02)

I have some plants that I am certain are ready for harvest, lost track of how old they are but by best guess at least around 12 wks old. I bought a plain old magnifying glass to try to look rather than a microscope at trichomes. This is my first little crop. I was try to include a picture which I saved to my computer, but to attach it I am asked for my URL, and I have no clue how to do that. They have over half of the hairs are brown and there are deff many sticky crystals on all small leaves and the buds. How can I tell just by a magnifying glass, or my naked eyes? http://sn124w.snt124.mail.live.com/att/GetAttachment.aspx?tnail=0&messageId=5b1747f0-e145-11e0-bae5-00237de4144c&Aux=2114|0|8CE43694A07C970||0|1|0|0|7|5&maxwidth=220&maxheight=160&size=Att

My buds have mostly amber hairs, and what I call little crystals (I am assuming they are trichomes) covering all the small leaves and the buds. They are very sticky to the touch and full of aroma. I just don't want them to degrade.
