Trichomes timing

I have some 'Top44' and have been keeping an eye on the Trichomes with a x30 Microtorch and I saw that the trichomes were half cloudy half amber, but after cutting them down I see that most of them look clear, this happened during ripening too and was never too sure when to take em down and so made sure that they were amber before putting the knife to them.

Does the colour change with conditions ?

Anyways thanks in advance for your help.

I don't understand your question. But I can tell you that the ripening process isn't always even. Next time you might want to harvest the bud that passes your test and leave the rest to ripen for awhile.

Good advice, not all the buds ripen at the same time, so take samples as you get closer to achieve that perfect buzz you are after. :peace:

My opinion looking at that plant, although the light is tricky, is that it's close to being ready. Were you looking at it under the scope in the dark or with those lights on? Still, it looks pretty mature. I think I harvested my plants early but noticed the trichs almost all seemed amber after they had been hanging for a day.. Maybe it was just my imagination.

Thanks for the help guys.

I have been looking at the individual plants for maturity and so sorry for not being clear. As they are from seed they are not uniform, and so yes I monitor them individually.

I have them under a 400wt HPS, and was under those when I was looking at the trichomes. Bad move ??? And I'm refering to one plant having milky/amber glands and then the same plant once cut down has less of the former and quite a lot of clear glands. And so the one plants trichomes seem to have changed from when I looked and after I cut. :?

Thanks in advance.

Try out Euforia and Top44, very nice plants. And quick quick quick!

Please tilt head to see the loner awaiting maturity. :joint:
