shouldn't they go cloudy before amber though regardless of the exact part of the plant
also thats off a small lower main but yes its a leaf attached to it . calyx look the same
Calyx don’t look the same. Their trichome development is much different than on a leaf. Leaves will show amber trichomes really early on, on the calyx they will go from clear-cloudy-amber. Make sure you check the calyx

You could have that much amber on a leaf and have 1 amber on the calyx. It's tricky. Also check bottom buds as well. Some plants ripen from the bottom up, and some vise versa. It's ok to chop what's ready, and leave the others to finish.

I've also read you can "bruise" the plant. If you touch a flower or leaf that has trichomes they can amber in the area you touched. I was taught to check the flowers further in on the canopy, or on the side not facing the opening of the tent, if that makes sense.

so its normal to see trics go amber before cloudy sometimes

if bruising is a thing then thats the answer the bud was up hitting the door often

ive done some googling on trics hints why i was wondering why mine are going amber before cloudy plus its only been 7 weeks so i still expect a few more. i wouldn't chop now regardless of trics
