Trichomes magnification

Hey guys,
I'm about to purchase an led handheld magnifier from ebay.
I'm just looking for some input from those of you who have used them to determine when trichomes are amber enough to chop.
I have a 60X loupe but it doesn't get close enough.
So my question is, buy a 60-100x magnifier OR a 160-200x magnifier?

Will the latter be TOO close? The products look the same, I just think there's more magnifying lenses in the 160-200.

I'm only wanting to define the color of the trics not its particular sex ..lol

for that I'm happy with my 1930's loup'e

the usb pc plugin thing is much cheaper ...consider

er usb microscope..?

I just wanna know if I should get 60-100x or 160-200x...

..and I'm advising that 60X could be too much

30X----60X is ideal

I'm at 60X now and I can't see the heads as well as I'd like to be able to.

I use a 60 to 100x, at 100 it is quite sufficient.

60-120 works well
