2/8/07 Almost 2 weeks old and looking strong. All seedlings have been transplanted and look to be thriving in the new soil. I have been watering the plants with the root booster mix to make the root system as large as possible. I may try to keep some in the small pots and keep boosting the root system. Took some photos to keep track of growth.
2/21/07 Date above ground was 1/31/07 .that is the first day. Counting from that date makes Wednesday the weekly birthday celebration! Today makes the children 3 weeks old. Photos have been taken and all but one healthy. The one sickly one has leaves that are withered and droopy. I transplanted to a larger pot as it had been in the one non-commercial pot I created out of an old Activated Charcoal plastic jar. No change in the move to the regular plastic pot. 12 plants (13 counting the two in one pot) are now with the fan moving air and building up the plants stem strength. I will train for a horizontal grow to maximize bud production and yield. Changed the activated charcoal in the DIY air scrubber and reused some of the old charcoal. Heated the old used charcoal in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and then placed it back inside the air scrubber. Made a bit of a mess and my cats paws are not so white but clean up was not so bad. I changed the outer cover from fiber-glass furnace filter to cotton fabric. Found an old sweat shit and cut off the sleeves to use as my exterior cover of the air scrubber. The sleeves fit nicely and now I can handle the scrubber with out putting gloves on to protect my skin.
2/24/07 All plants were taken out and stems have been bent over and twist ties have been used to train the plant to grow horizontally. Photos were taken of the training process. The 13 plants (two in one pot) have each been tied down to expose the bud sites to light. About 5 weeks until the flower cycle will begin and I will be able to see which plants are girls. All the plants look healthy. My watering cycle will be as follows:
Water with spray leaf feeding make sure the top of the soil is damp. The sprayer has been filled with a liquid seafood fertilizer. Alg-A-Mic is what it is called. That I will do every day
One gallon of Fox Farms Grow Big will be evenly distributed among the 12 containers it takes about 2.5 small watering cans to use up the gallon. This should be done every 2 3 days .do not water EVERY DAY!
I will keep an eye on the training perhaps add a tie every week?
