Hello all this is one of my out door plants trichomes. It's shorter, around 4.5ft tall and I'm wondering thought on readiness. I'm trying to be patient.

if >50% of trichomes are opaque and >90% of the pistols are orange-brown, I'd consider flushing it real soon and harvest in 7-10 days

Red alert red alert!! We have an f bomb!!!!

Picture of the entire plant. I'll bet that plant has weeks to go.

Those are leaves. Never look at the leaves for maturity. I dont want to smoke the leaves so why do I care what maturity they are? Gotta check the bud trichs. They are not as mature.

Flushing is for toilets.

When it comes to readiness you really need a jeweler's loop. You wanna harvest when most of your tricomes are milky white. Lots of people like to wait until their is a 60 40 split in them between milky and amber. I find that that kinda changes the buzz. My preference is a 90% milky and 10% amber. I just like the buzz better.

Nowhere near ready. You've got tons of white pistils and the seed bracts haven't even begun to swell, you've probably got a month left. Read this https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/a-guide-on-when-to-harvest.666373/. Trichome color does not affect high, that's old stoner bro-science. Don't waste all the time, effort, and money you've invested by harvesting early. Don't use leaves to check trichomes either. good luck!

So if I remove some for bud rot I could check the section that doesn't look bad. I see what you mean about leaves. Ty

Yeah never trust the tric's on leaves. I've got 2 plants with a definite 2-3 weeks left and the leaves are throwing amber all over but the bud itself is not.

I plan on flushing this afternoon with her 2 sisters.
If your definition of flushing is pouring gallons of water in the soil....dont. it does nothing. Just stop feeding. Let the plant eat what is left in the soil and naturally fade. Maybe 1 more feeding is all you need. Then just water till harvest.

Called it...you got a month to go.

Nice plant. Looking healthy. Should be a good harvest.

This is the hard stage. Buds are fat juicy ripe for rot. Gotta keep em dry if possible if outside.
My problem as well is the humidity doesn't go below 90% lately. But I am doing better then last year. I just need to be patient. I will feed one more cha cing feeding and then just ph water

Ooof. 90% is rough. Hopefully they get a lot of air flow.

The main thing helping so far this year is removing most fan leaves that are the size of my hand or blocking air flow through branches. I'm in way better place then I was last year without directly combating pest or mold. I won't lie. I panicked and chopped one like 2 weeks ago. Lucky it smokes pretty good but now I wonder what it would have been so ill be patient. Ty again

Also helping is getting the morning dew off. This year I set up for more direct light first thing and then rotate plant 180゚ after an hr or so. I noticed it dries quicker. The advice here is priceless
