Trichome colour VS visual appearance of plant Crimea Blue

Im growing some Crimea Blue and it's an interesting story....
I threw them into 12/12 early on in veg (early may), and they started to flower beautifully, i was taking them in and out of my backyard shed, then just stopped doing that. They continue to flower without revegging (im in southern ontario, canada), another strain i did the same thing with went right back into veg.

So now, I sit here end of june, with nice looking flowers on my crimea blue, and upon inspection of the trichomes, i see some nice amber (about 30%), and other nice milky and clear trichomes.

My question is, even though the plants look relatively healthy, should not I harvest based on trichome appearance?

I'll try and post a pic of the plants later.

I'd say it's always best to harvest based on trichome appearance. If you're patient enough, let it keep going til most those trichomes are amber and you'll have some good night product..

yeah either way you'll be stoned stupid when u smoke because more trich's turn amber during drying/curing, so you'll really have about 50-60% amber after cure.

thanks

I have to charge my digicam for some photos. I'll see if I can snap some of the trichomes, too.

The smell is not too strong at all...

A friend smelled it and said, "hey, it smells like KFC".
