Trellis netting

I have only used the bungee style netting with 6" squares in my 3x3 and that was usually wrestled onto the plant due to piss poor planning on my part. I picked up some of the nylon? trellis netting on prime day to use in my 4x4 this go round. I am trying to keep this grow under control and really maximize the results. I got both the 6" and the 3.5" options.

My thoughts are to put the 6" in first to help spread the plants out and help guide them where I need them to go and then let them continue to stretch a week or so and then drop the 3.5" squares on top to divy up the bud sites a bit more.

Does this sound reasonable? Am I completely missing something? Any suggestions?

6" net is in and cable tied to the poles. Can still be slid up if needed. The next couple days I will work on filling every space. I may end up needing to put some risers under the Cinderella Purple plants up front if they don't start stretching soon. Once the stretch is done and the flowering is under way, ill add the 3.5" net if needed for support and to spread out the sites further. Once that second net is up and filled, I imagine I can strip pretty much everything underneath it. Right?

Your going to appreciate that netting way more than the bunjee. Add a second layer over top before they stretch. Ideally 3.5 inch top squares. Thank me later.

I really like the bungee net, but I've always been on the fence about the 6" squares. That said, I'm looking forward to running these nylon nets and using the 3.5" squares. I feel like the 6" will help spread it out and the 3.5" will really allow for separating the flower sites.

How far do you put between the 2 layers of netting?

I separate the layers of netting based on different plants growth but typically around 10-12 inches apart vertically. First layer is to set a foundation and prevent plants from closing in the canopy, second layer is for keeping colas upright and organized.

I did end up adding the 3.5" netting last week some time. The Blueberry Cupcake is still stretching and I tucked a few of their tops this morning. The Cinderella Purple plants finally started to stretch as well and are actually up and through the net. I am hoping both strains stretch a bit more and I'll do a little defoliation/cleanup under the top net right around day 21

Couple pics from when I added the net
