tree nursery pots - small diameter, but very tall

what would be the advantages or disadvantages to growing in a pot say 4" x 4" x 15". i am curious as to the notion of using tree nursery pots in order to be able to pack the plants into a small space, yet with enough cubic inches of dirt for root expansion. would the roots get too little oxygen as the pot is so deep? i grow my plants just until they are rooted and then flower, which, in turn produces about a 12-16" cola. i currently use 1 gallon grow bags with success, but would like to pack in the plants if this idea would work. any ideas or suggestions??

here are the pots i am interested in - http://www.stuewe.com/products/treepots.php

I don't like the tall ones myself. I go to local nursery's and pick up used pots. If you don't mind cleaning then it's cheap and ez. all sizes of pots.

thanks for the input stumps. i am really hoping to find someone who can give me more of an explanation concerning why it would not be advisable to use the deep pots with a small diameter. i would use plastic cups, but feel like this does not give the roots enough room for expansion. remember that i am trying to fit as many plants as possible into a small space while maintaining a healthy root mass. i will veg the plants for only one week, then flip to 12/12, and grow the plants only to about 12-16" producing one terminal cola. i have done this with great success using one gallon grow bags, but i can only fit about 6 plants into my space. i want to prevent the plants from becoming root bound and fit maybe 15-25 into my space.

Sorry i don't have better info for you. I see now what your trying to do. my number two pot is something under a gal. and would work for what your doing about 5" across and 7 deep. about the size your using now I would guess. I'll be watching to see how it comes out. lol I would take pic's and show you but I let the grow die and haven't cleaned up the mess yet. Never bring clones with mites into your clean grow room. I like to keep clones from the year before and veg threw the winter to plant in the spring. will just start over this year.
