Travelling with it?

My wife and I are daily smokers and we fly to DC next week. Do any of you have experience taking a 1/4 or so on a commercial airline?

Any suggestions?

My girlfriend does it everytime she flies. Just put it in your wifes bra, or one of your crotches. As long as it doesnt smell crazy, you could prob just put it in your pocket, its not like they are patting people down and i have personally never seen a dog at the airport. They also make smell proof bags if you are real paranoid. Oh yeah my girl usually has a piece of glass on her also, no worries.

Quick follow up to this thread for future reference. There were dogs everywhere at all three airports we went through. Now, whether or not they were trained to sniff for bombs, drugs, or both, I have no idea. I don't know that much about K-9 units, but they were definately out in force.

So I'm guessing you didn't try to bring it after you saw the dogs?

Wow that sucks, you would probably still be ok, just grab a bag of mcdonalds to carry on the plane, sure the people on the plane will hate you but a dog being alerted to a bag of food is no big deal. Fool the dog handler not the dog.

what airports were you at? I've been to all major ones many times and have NEVER seen K9 dogs.

Even though I was given advice from people here and there, I decided to not risk it, so I didn't take any.

I went from Tulsa to O'hare to Reagan National in DC. I saw three different dog handlers from the entry door to the terminals. They were mostly sniffing the plants and flowerbeds and even trash can. Obviously, this would mean they were looking primarily for bombs and other terrorist shit.

My question is, do those dogs also alert on drugs? If that's a stupid question, I apologize, but I don't know?

You should have just put it in a opaque shampoo bottle with a nicely sealed baggy if you had a suitcase.
